Bether is alive and well and will be posting a story soon. A Mother's Day Story! It gets me at the very end. Look out for it!
I'm donating my body to science fiction.
Re: Spontaneous Conversation thread
Good, I was getting a bit worried that maybe something happened.

Re: Spontaneous Conversation thread
Just read some topics on trekbbs ,and found one were somebody said that the captain is underapreciated by the fans there because enterprise had become Tuckerprise
,an they keep fuming that Trip wins all the favorabillity pools ,well its not his fault that Archer is a crappy carachter compared to Trip
.
And if enterprise would have become Tuckerprise i'm sure i would have loved it even more

Yeah, we know. And that person was also friendlied for trying to start something by the new mod in that forum over there.
Please don't discuss posts from elsewhere here, thanks.

Was this the army that invaded your country, ma'am? No, officer, they were taller than that...
How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...

I didn't know. Don't read over there. Am not a member there. Never been a member there. Never wanted to be a member there. Have no interest in anything posted there. I have scanned the threads on Trek BBS a few times and recoiled. Sheesh. How many new members do they pick up a month? How many new members does TriS pick up a month?

You're not missing much, blackn'blue. Though the discussions in the TnT thread are quite interesting, and worth reading, even if you ignore the rest of the forum.
ETA--And I'm sorry if I gave the impression that everyone knows what happens over there. I forget that not everyone was a member over there and knows about how certain people love to take swipes at others, trying to start a fight, and get some people banned in the opposite camp.

Re: Spontaneous Conversation thread
So you've got your degree in history, JadziaKathryn, so what are you going to do now? Planning to go for a master's or are you going to look for a job or just take a bit of time off and enjoy it before deciding?
P.S.--Congrats!

Yes! Congratulations on your accomplishment!

an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Thanks everyone! Because seventeen years of schooling isn't enough, I'm starting work on my Master's in the fall, but to celebrate the B.A. I'm going down to Florida for eleven days to visit my cousin, starting Saturday.

Have fun!
I just watched Observer Effect for the third time, and finally figured out why "Organian" sounded so familar.

Re: Spontaneous Conversation thread
Yes, congratulations JadziaKathryn. I love history, but my undergrad major was anthropology.
I am another who has not explored the Trek BBS or any other ST board. I think I joined one or two but never went back after the 'first contact'. I am too busy with RL to stay active in anthing but a quality site. I did not like what I initially saw on other sites and am now pretty much clueless as to what goes on there. Even other fan fic sites seem to be less interesting, have less well written stuff. Though to be fair, I have not explored them all that well.

Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.
