Also, if you print the story out, PDFs will use up a lot of paper whereas non-PDFs do not as you can change the page and font size.

The PDFs confused me at first, but I figured it out. I don't print out stuff so it doesn't matter to me. I guess if you can get script format to work in html I would prefer that. That could be challenging, though, couldn't it? And since you're already facing a labor shortage I vote for whatever helps you get it 'aired' faster.

Ditto. Do what works best for you. We will deal with it.

Tell you what. If you can do it in HTML, and you want to do it that way, you can send them to me afterward and I will output them into PDF for you and send them back. That would save you a step.

Up to you.

Actually PDFs are a lot easier to produce for me, as easy as printing what I've written actually.

I attempted to draw something on Illustrator today, and this is the end result:

I envision this as the pilots wings that Archer and Travis would wear.

Veryy good! :D
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Here's another version I did tonight that's a little better as far as looking 3-D, but the star is a bit smaller proportionally I guess.

Image

Which version do you think you'd like better? Or would you think that the star would look better on this version if it was bigger?

Preliminary rank epaulets. I've only done one of the flag officers so far though, because I could use some input on the colors to use for the flag officers' rank. A third option is to have a solid silver bar. A fourth option would be to change the color of the epaulets and/or the stripes.

Not the slightest clue. Wouldn't know a stripe from a pip from a bar from a tattoo from ceremonial scar pattern.

How do you plan to denote the specialties, science, ship services and command? I like the silver color with gold for flag rank.

patches basically. The pilots wings are one of them, and I have to design the others still. Engineering is probably going to involve a gear, a couple of wrenches, and perhaps a compass. There is no command division though - officers who don't belong to any of the otehrs are simply refered to as line officers and just wear a name tag basically.
