Bump That "Most Ever Users" Stat—Easter Geekster Togtherness

justTripn wrote:14! USERs! What was so exciting here this morning, I wonder? I mean, I can understand when there is new fanfic up . . . There will be new fanfic up, BTW. I was one of those 14 users. I was trying to get something posted something for Bookworm--then I had to go to work.

:(

(Since we're all geeks) We should plan a "most users online" party. Since some of us live in Europe and are up to 10 hours ahead of us lazy-ass westcoast N. Americans, maybe it should be at, like 7:15 am PST.

Evcake and T'Poptarts and I can drag our lazy western asses up that early (can't we girls?), and CX will be awake already (on his glacier out there in Laura Ingalls coutry plugging in his block heater), and y'know, since Elessar probably gets hazed in the AM's, he'll be up regardless, picking spaghetti out of his combat boots or some such, and it'll be late afternoon for the Suomi and Italia and French folk.

Like, what about Easter Sunday March 23 at 7:30 am PST? Everyone can log on and we can gaze in wonder at the little graphic on the Board Index. And chatter like digital monkeys. God, we are geeks. I love it!

evcake: Count me in.

Linda: Sounds like a plan. Being relatively close to CX in time zone, guess I can drag myself to the machine.

CX: I usually don't get up until around 1000, personally.

Mitchell: Slacker.
Count me out. :? I gets on, Whens I gets on. :raspberry:

Distracted: Seven thirty on Easter morning? Gah. I'll be watching my youngest hunt plastic eggs in the living room ...MAJOR FAMILY TOGETHERNESS MOMENT...But I'll be there in spirit. :)

Asso: Italians are sleepyhead. But count on me anyhow.

Easter is the one Sunday of the year I don't have to work. :) Early morning is good - midday is taken up (bruch with friends - late afternoon and evening are good. :)

I guess I can get on the board almost any time. I usually do it during breaks at work, since my husband is on the home computer that has internet connection most of the time at home. But I can kick him off if I need to. Worst time is day time on the weekends if we have plans to be away from home. But we don't have any plans around Easter yet, so you get first dibs on my time schedule. 8)

What day is Easter?

I "might" be able to make it.

Count me in too. I'll just have to figure out what time it'll be for me.

Easter is terrible 'cause I'll be away at my parents' place and don't know when I can manage to be online then.

Well just as a starting point, I had said Sunday, March 23 at 730 am PST. But we could make it so the Euros get up early and us lazy ass new worlders do it at night. Like, we could make it 11 pm PST on Friday the 21st, and then...hmmm... no that's not good. The mid&eastern usa peeps would be up till after midnight. course that's fine for CX, as he doesn't get up till about 1445. :raspberry: But what about all the other non-slackers near him?

Okay.

What about Saturday March 22 at 9 am PST. Then it's around 10 am for poor CX and near lunch for the easties. Then the Euros can log on at around 7 pm for them.

Is this a better time?

I'll be in the marsh at a crawfish boil on Easter Saturday. No internet. :(

Lots of yummy red crawly things with legs, though. :D

For me too.

What dou you think about a certain length of time?
We could pop in for a defined period of hours.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.
