Re: TrekSpace
Cool, CoffeeCat! I would switch to Vulcanspace if you start it!

there's a difference between a monarchy and a dictatorship.
I've got nothing on a guy who wants to create a online community - that's great - go for it! Just set your ground rules and then live by them. Oh, and you'll catch more flies with honey.
I used to be involved in a different discussion board on a entirely different topic. We'd play trivia, give tips, etc. Not only the mods, but many of the people there just started getting a little too big for their britches. It's an ONLINE COMMUNITY - get over yourselves already. So, a bunch of us left and made our own board, which has grown considerably - nobody fights, and nobody has been banned. Gee, people really can get along.

Re: TrekSpace
Okay, I signed up for VulcanSpace and quit TrekSpace. Hope I did it right, because I could still sign on to TrekSpace - tested it after I "left" TrekSpace. But I guess it takes awhile to process the request, right?

Re: TrekSpace
Whatever you did, it worked. I got an email notfying me that you'd commented on my blog, which basically says I'm gonna hang around and watch what happens with His Majesty Peters, mainly for the entertainment value, but when I logged on to see what you said, not only was your comment not there anymore, but "Bineshii" isn't even listed in the members list. What did you SAY, anyway? Did he delete your comment? All our comments don't automatically delete when we leave, do they?

Re: TrekSpace
Now I will see if also my way worked well.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Re: TrekSpace
Well, Dear, I did not say anything more than that I agreed with you! I am surprised they deleted it! This administrator/site owner of Trekspace must be a paranoid individual who can't stand any disagreement no matter how mildly it is stated.

Re: TrekSpace
Another thought - if he deleted my mild comment, I can't see that he will be getting along with anyone, for eventually he will loose even his closest friends if they have any sort of difference of opinion and he will end up talking only to himself!

I just logged onto TrekSpace for the specific purpose of trying to figure out a way to delete my profile.
Anyway, I happened to notice for the first time that I had a couple of PMs. One was from Distracted explaining about her blog post. I understand completely where she is coming from. Good luck Dis, and have fun.
The other one was 24 hours old, and was from Mr. Alec Peters himself. I hereby offer Mr. Peter's missive in its entirety for your reading enjoyment. If he didn't want it quoted, he shouldn't have sent it to me.If you don't like the way I run things....leave. Otherwise, do as I ask.
Pretty simple request, that any knucklehead can figure out. a blog is a blog, a question goes in a forum.
If you don't like it, publish it somewhere else.
Really, people like you are the reason most people don't undertake putting up something like this.
I already banned one person tonight for being an obnoxious ass. Please respect my posts or else just leave. I don't need to be lectured on your perception of your rights.
Alec
When you get this kind of shit, any further attempt at communication or negotiation is futile. All I did was demand the right to control the length of my own blog posts!
B&B - people like you are the reason why I bothered to start VulcanSpace

Anyhow - I PMed the other admin, the one that friended me and explained to him that I'm wrapping up loose ends and will be gone by the end of the week - not to expect a dramatic exit, but to be aware that I've explained what happened to the twenty some odd friends I brought there with me and they all agree on the point that they should be informed of all rules up front and not be moderated by people who make up rules as they go because if they're uploading content that they don't realize is unacceptable, then they've just wasted their time.

Re: TrekSpace
CoffeeCat said BorgSpace (referring to TrekSpace). LOL, CoffeeCat, that made my day!

Re: TrekSpace
Since I still have my TrekSpace account I'm really tempted to rename my page "Kevin Thomas Riley's BorgSpace page".
That would probably trigger a ban faster than you could be assimilated...!

Re: TrekSpace
It's sort of odd that Linda's comment got deleted just for saying she agreed with me but my blog is still up. Maybe you removed your account before your comment was permanent, Linda. Maybe if you remove yourself while your comment's still in edit mode it erases the comment.

I think the comments just disappear when the user leaves. That's been my observation after seeing several ppl. leave.

Was it from "Bineshii"? That's Linda. I think CX and Coffeecat (Alleycat) got banned and Asso left.
