Starship Troopers Marauder Trailer

Postby Elessar » Thu Apr 17, 2008 11:51 pm

This is dated in February so if I'm the only person who hadn't seen it until now, let me know and I'll get rid of this thread... but for anyone else, here it is:

Why do I get the impression that a fraction of a second after Jolene's touching scene with the smile and the outstretched hand someone gets blown-up-sir? :?

Or she's already dead! But at least she looks great.

Are these movies any good? This trailer looks like it's gone all ironic on Heinlein's ass.

I loved all those novels when I was a teenager. I had run out of Star Trek novelizations and had to start reading real science fiction. Thank you, Clearwater Public Library!
OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

The first one already went ironic on Heinlein's rear end. Haven't seen any other ones.

I kinda liked the first one if I pretended it wasn't really Heinlein (which it wasn't).

Yeah it's nothing like Heinlein.

That is the understatement of the century. I went to see the first one and almost got up ant left. I didn't know anything about it and how it differed from Heinlein. My major thought was one cropduster with a load of Malathion and we could all go home.

The U.S. model from the Gulf would even work... just bombard everything from orbit. Hell, nuke the hell out of the planet.
