It's a long story, but I think also amusing.
And it explains clearly why I believe that Destiny is "Destiny", and also why it's absolutely true that "Opposites Attract", someway.
We met at school. I was 16, and she was 15.
She was odious and presumptuous (but I think she was thinking the same about me).
We were spending our time bickering and arguing.
But... whoa!... How she was beautiful! (Well! NEVER I would have admitted that!).And then, when I was 20 and she was 19,....
And now I am 58, and she is 57.
AND SHE'S ALWAYS ODIOUS AND PRESUMPTUOUS! (but I think she's thinking the same about me).
What do you think?

Everything all right?
Yes, we've been away for a few days travelling with the small person and the nausea and it was extended-family-filled and tightly scheduled. Whew!
But other than that I'm fine and nauseous.
"You queasy mommy? You queasy?" asks Aureilia regularly throughout the day.
The answer is usually yes.
I get another ultrasound in 3 wks! And I got to hear the wee thing's heartbeat with the audio-only ultrasound thingy at the doctor's office on Wednesday. 144 beats per minute. Fierce!

Getting in that cardio fitness training early huh? N odoubt preparing to be ready for those laps around the iving room with Mommy in hot pursuit. And the dining room. And the kitchen. My poor, poor wife. She had it so bad, but not just in the mornings. And she couldn't drink coffee. She lives on coffee, but she couldn't drink a drop. Not any, at any time of day. And the nausea would hit without warning no matter where we were or what we were doing.
Sitting at the dinner table... Walking across the parking lot somewhere... Reclining on a neighbor's couch... Fanning herself on the front porch... Walking down the sidewalk... Pushing a shopping cart down the aisle....
It didn't matter where or when. Suddenly, with no warning at all, here it would come. Explosively and copiously. Tsk.
If she had not been too sick to catch me, I would certainly have been slain.

Just so this doesn't become the Unofficial Birth Control Strand for Women Who Haven't Gotten Knocked Up Yet --
I never spewed once during pregnancy, except for the day I decided to eat half a canteloupe and then mow the lawn. So I blame the canteloupe. (And maybe the lawn.) Also spewed in labor, but that hardly counts. So you aren't NECESSARILY letting yourself in for months of physical misery.
I loved being pregnant. Finally I could blame all the twinges on a growing baby instead of a possible tumor...
