And now China.
It's awful! :(
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Those poor kids in that school which collapsed is enough to give me nightmares.

They aren't letting foreign workers in, but I think the Chinese government has a reputation for being effective/successful, especially in the area of medical emergencies/campaigns.

We don't own a television and we don't get any newspapers so I just found out few minutes ago from an other internet page what has happened.

I've read that China isn't being its usual tight-lipped self about this disaster as they apparently usually are.

What would it have to do with the Olympics? They've already got the Olympics... the Olympic Council can't pull out or anything. If anything I would think that if they were concerned about turnout for the Olympics, they would stifle and marginalize how bad the damage has been, in case people are frightened away from travelling there.

The Chinese really don't need any more badwill than they already have (from the Tibet issue among other things), and pursuing a Burmese tactic would surely give them that. It's not like they could contain any news of the fallout from the earthquake. Thus they have no choice but to be relatively "open" about it. And even if they're communist tyrants, unlike the Burmese junta, the Chinese do care about what the world thinks and about international prestige. And again unlike the Burmese junta, they strive to attract foreign investment. All that would go down the drain if they went the Burmese way.

Poor China. Tibet riot stuff. Olympic stuff. Earthquake stuff. 2008 has been a heck of a year for them and it's not yet 1/2 over. Course, Tibet's their own fault, but still. Heck of a year.

Well!
I can't say it's better here, in the matter a lot of other things. Less, less grievous! Sure!
