Going on vacation - will be incognito for over a week
This is my last day at work (where I usually access this board, rather than at home) until June 16. So I probably won't visit the board again after today, till then. I will be taking along on vacation some printouts of stories to beta and stories to read and comment on. But I since I have to do all the driving (husband is legally blind and though 14 year-old grandson is willing to drive - no way!), I will only have rest stops and late evenings to read!
Grandson says "whats the big deal about driving the car, I can drive a 5 net ton boat that has no brakes."
"Ha, ha," says I. "It's a different world."
We are driving from South Milwaukee to Rochester, New York and back, with stops along the way.

YES!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

ENJOY! your vacation.
Rochester, New York? Is that the headquarters for Eastman Kodak? Doesn't it have a really beautiful flower park?

Yes, Dialee! Rochester is the home of Kodak. And Rochester is known for its lilacs. There is a park, Highland Park, if I remember right, with a large number of lilac bushes. So I think that is the one you might have heard of.
This is probably some kind of homing instinct, LOL, but once across the state line into New York State, I always think the trees look greener than in any other state I have been to. Weird, eh?

Is this for a wedding? Methinks I recall a comment about two weddings in New York.

Honk if you pass through Indiana.
Have a safe trip.

If you haven't already.
Or didn't write it.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Interesting. Anybody figure out who "Charlie" is supposed to be? Trip's son, maybe? If he's sending someone to inform Archer of T'Pol's death, dare we assume that she's his mother?

Re: Going on vacation - will be incognito for over a week
I just assumed it was Charles Tucker IV.
The story steps delicately, doesn't it, in what it doesn't say.

Yes, it does. Actually, depending on what you assume based on vague clues, you could be either a TnTer or an AnTer and still enjoy it. Interesting.

Hey, thanks, Evcake for the link to that little gem of a story. I agree with the author's perceptive take on the Vulcans.
Dinah, we passed through Indiana on the way out and the way back.
JT, darn, we passed way north of Pittsburgh, but would love to stop by and visit some other time. We want to see Falling Water, one of Frank Lloyd Wright's houses and go on to Washington to see the American Indian museum. Maybe next summer or the summer after.
JK, yes there are two weddings in the Rochester area. The other one is at the end of July. We are taking the train to that one so I don't have to drive. I tis for the sister of the boy who just got married on this trip which just ended. They are my brother's two kids. Why they had to both get married the same summer, making two trips necessary, I will never know!

Maybe I can tempt you with Medowcroft Rock Shelter, a 16,000 year old archeological site. (Yes, I know, that's before the previously accepted date for humans living in the Americas).
