That goes far to explain the ongoing lack of canon continuity.

Given how many episodes they just copied and did over again, I have a hard time believing him.

He probably just read about stuff from TOS would be my guess. Which is also how he managed to screw up the plot of Pegasus when he wrote *the_abomination*.

He didn't personally write Pegasus? I never looked into it, I just assumed he did based on the fact that he chose that episode to refer to.

Better known as the main creative force behind the remade Battlestar Galactica series.

Braga told the press during the first season of Enterprise that he was finally watching TOS as "research" for Enterprise. I think he mentioned it in several interviews, in fact. His problem was ego. He believed he could twist and turn events in canon to his own advantage. I don't know why he thought he had to do that, though. You don't need to twist anything to write a good story,

Do you really know this guy well enough to determine he had an ego problem?
I know we all have issues with how the show was written, but do we really have to attack the writers' very natures? Couldn't we just agree that they took a wrong course at times, and even they might agree with that in hindsight?

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

KNowing what I know from people who actually do know Braga, yeah, I'd say that CoffeeCat's assessment is fair.

OK. I'll make my post TriS safe:

Braga told the press during the first season of Enterprise that he was finally watching TOS as "research" for Enterprise. I think he mentioned it in several interviews, in fact. He believed he could twist and turn events in canon to his own advantage. (AND HE MENTIONED THIS IN INTERVIEWS ALSO).
I don't know why he thought he had to do that, though (which is why I deduced that he had/has an ego problem). The man wrote First Contact so he DOES KNOW that You don't need to twist anything to write a good story.
Writing as TrekPyro.

I'm not trying to be a Nazi, CoffeeCat. Maybe it's just that I once met the guy, and he seemed fairly nice and quiet and also handled it pretty well when I accidentally spilled coffee on him.
