Yep, this one is a hoot.

I've been reading that Alison M. Dobell story someone was tracking down all weekend when I wasn't being Grandma. Still haven't finished it. I'd never given her stuff a chance before because of all those irritating sentence fragments and she also sticks sappy song lyrics in -- usually something that causes me to hit the back button immediately. But I have to admit the plot is compelling.

I desire to say something about " PARTING AND NEVER PARTED" By MissAnnThropic.
I wrote (as comment): Although I am constitutionally repulsive for the abomination, this one is very good. Here there is love, the true love, and - someway - hope.

She, too, is right. To tell the true, she's right twice.
"Romeo and Juliet" have some reasons. Romeo loves Juliet as Juliet loves Romeo, and they don't deny that. Destiny and the stupid blindness of men compel them to act as they did.
But T'Pol? And Trip? Should we believe that (as "The Abomination" would make us think) they have gone away the one from the other, and - when Trip dies- the Bond forces T'Pol to abandon the life? ILLOGICAL! And even a little bit foolish.
But I think MissAnnThropic wanted to write a scene. A beautiful scene, without thinking of how much this scene could sound wrong, because the fault is not her. The fault is of "The Abomination".
Which perfectly explains why it's better do not keep it as " a possible model" for Fics.

I remember being very impressed by this one when I first read it. It may have influenced my own stories.
