Besides, I try to imagine that scene:

Priest: (after leaving the blunderbuss on the altar) What do you want, young couple?
Trip: (looking at all places, imagining spies in every corner) Ehhh... we... we wanted to marry, father.
Priest: Of course, of course, a happy new. Congratulations. I don't know you... are you the son of the baker?
Trip: Wha'? No, no, we aren't from here.
Priest: You are from Tolosa, Hernani, Donosti... Santurce?
Trip: No, we aren't from here.
Priest: (touching the blunderbuss) You aren't Basque?
Trip: No, but we've heard that we can marry here... you know... in secret.
Priest: Why would you want to do something like that? A marriage is a happy event, after all.
Trip: Yes... of course... but it's complicated. You know... we're from different places... Her culture is very rigid...
T'Pol: Mine?
Trip: The fight to death, honey. You have to remember the fight to death.

The priest looks at T'Pol and he creates his own story.

Priest: Oh, I understand. You don't have to tell me more, youg man. (Looking at T'Pol) You are Muslim, aren't you?
T'Pol: (eyebrow arched) I beg your pardon?
Priest: Nothing wrong in that, except the fact that your religion is false and all of you will burn in Hell. But of course, this marriage changes everything. After your conversion you will enter into the Kingdom of God.
T'Pol: I am not going to be converted.
Priest: (aiming T'Pol) Say what?

I don't think it's a good place for our couple...

Thanks, Escriba. If, one fine day, you will turn up at my region, I will be happy to show you something you could enjoy. And, maybe, you could teach me a little bit of Basque language, and I could do the same with my own. :)
Sitting in front of a table prepared with some sorts of Piedmont's wines.
Anyway, I know your land, and it is very enjoyable.
After all, it's difficult to believe that a region which begets girls as pretty as your friend Sandra... that this region is not... lovely.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

That sounds lovely :D Ottimo! (this is "great" in Italian, isn't it?)

It's not the appearance, it's the character  Anyway, I think you can take it (Italian women have fame of being temperamental, after all.)

I know this is probably wrong in a thread titled "Something Typical", since it's not very typical. It's from a Wild West theme park in Sweden (yup, you read that right) that I visited with my dad last week.

Looks pretty darned authentic to me, except maybe for the fact that it's so clean. Were the "natives" all blonde? 8)

And from what little I can see of you, you and Elessar resemble each other...at least in coloring. The smile's similar too. 8)

Nobody can deny these photos show "Something Typical", KTR. This is a fact.
And, in any case, they are very good, and I think I will go there, if I will go to Sweden again.
Well! I believe I will make a photo blow-up of the last image!

Nice to see a non-Disney version of Frontier America overseas, though it's very similar really to what you'd see in the Magic Kingdom -- just not as paved or crowded or embedded with merchandise.

When I was a kid I loved the TV show High Chaparral. Ah, Manuelito....
OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

Medora, North Dakota - official website The south unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park isn't too far away from it, either.

Thanks, CX. So Medora is a Western-style town, but a real one, not a theme park.

I'd say it still qualifies as a theme park because there's the actual town, and then there's the musical and the rest of the stuff for tourists. It's just much closer to the source material. ;) Of course it's also in the ass-end of nowhere. :?
