Welcome, Nemo Blank!
It's very, very nice to see new authors here.
I go immediately to read your contribution. :D
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I'm glad to hear Caleb is doing better :D

It kinda reminds me like when I was born I threw up violently all the time lost a lot of weight and all my hair fell off. And it turned out it was because I was allergic to milk. So my mother had to stop breastfeeding me. And then I got better. Didn't take me like 2.5 months to show symptoms though. Anyway I hope little Caleb continues to get better :)

Thanks. They don't think he's allergic per se (they tested him) -- it's more that once you've been sick long enough to get all raw and inflamed inside you can develop a temporary lactose intolerance (or, worse, a full-blown allergy). They'll try the breast milk again once he's healed. (The poor kid is not very happy with mommy for withholding right now and she's not very happy doing it.) It makes you think how for small children in the third world who develop something like this -- which far too many do -- it can really turn fatal pretty quickly.

My son developed a nasty lactose intolerance after stomach flu once. It lasted maybe three or four months and finally went away, thank goodness. I hadn't realized before that it can be a temporary thing.

Did you ever get over your milk allergy?

Yeah the milk allergy went away when I was a little kid. But now I'm just lactose intolerant. But that's okay because dairy products smell like barf anyway. :upchuck:

Gah I hope they didn't have to stick IVs in Caleb's neck or head!! That's what they did to me when I was throwing up all the time and couldn't eat :? :explode: because I was too small for them to find blood vessels in my arms. But I assume a 2.5 month old should be bigger than a little 5 pound baby. :? My sister was in the hospital with pneumonia when she was 3 months old and they put the IV in her arm.

When my Brother was little he was sick for months, though it felt like long to me, and in and out of hospital from vomiting and asthema attacks. Doctors did all the allergy tests and couldn't find anything wrong with him, turned out it was lentils and peas he was allergic to, but my mum had to figure that out for herself by a process of elimination. She told me once she started to think the doctors thought she was a nut.

Funny thing is Lentil Soup was my families traditionally cooked food for a couple generations and a big favorite. Everytime we went visiting family they had to fumeigate their house for my brother staying.

His reaction isn't as bad now but my brother can still sence a pea or lentil anywhere in a room because the hair on the back of his neck stands up.

Allergies in Kids is awful, I was only a kid and I remember how exhausted and stressed my mum was all the time so I have a alot of sympathy for your family.

Just his hand, luckily. He really is looking so much better here than he had. Such a cutie.

I'm glad Caleb is better. He's adorable. Looks kind of determined and stoic here. As one thinks that little tiny Vulcans might look. :)

I haven't comsumed milk since 1st grade. They served it at room temperature (with graham crackers) and it did indeed smell to me as you describe. I quit drinking milk at all. Heresy. You'd have thought the world was coming to an end. They even tried chocolate milk. No go.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?
