Oh, heck yeah! Good times. :D

Which Star Trek character would you like to be for a day? Why?

T'Pol! 'Cause she has a Trip to play with! (and I mean that in a nice way...)

What Trek food would you like to try? (I'd go for that solid water Trip had...)

In TOS, I remember a scene where people are eating, and their plates just have these multicolored cubes on them. I always imagined that they'd have a marshmallowy consistency and wondered what each of the colors tasted like...if it would be good, or gross.

Following this line of questioning, what ST beverage would you like to indulge in? (The lush in me wants to try "It's green..." )

Huh? (Not Soylant Green?)

I rewatched E2 the other night (this is how I do weights without dying of boredom) and found myself wondering how the hell T'Pol still had chamomile tea 117 years later. I mean, they can't go back to Earth and harvest any. Chamomile doesn't strike me as a universal constant. And I doubt they'd have wasted precious space growing it in the hydroponics lab before the Xindi thing started. Maybe there are enough seeds that survive the tea-making process to have allowed them to get a plant going? Hmm.

Did you know the easiest way to dry herbs is to just stick 'em in your microwave and crisp 'em up? I dried a nice big patch of parsley and oregano and catnip for the winter last week. It's impossible to dry parsley by hanging, it just turns brown.

I noticed that. Embarrassing mistake. Which is why in my E2 story, they quickly run out of everything but some precious cans of spaghetti sauce that they ration out once a year for the sports banquet. (They have a sports banquet after the kids' championship basketball games.) And Lorian got the last bottle of ketchup for his fifteenth birthday. And I have a backstory (they all start reminiscing about this) that one day the stasis unit went down and they had to finished up everything except the canned goods. See "Heresy" and "Brainstorm."

I remember. That makes sense, though I could imagine they would already have been growing things like tomatoes in their hydroponics lab. In fact, given their supply issues, I'd expect them to convert space to growing even more. Just ain't that hard to make tomato sauce.

But would they have garlic and basil? Hmm. And sugar and honey would be problematic. If I were on that ship I would have been mightily tempted to try to sneak back to Earth and resupply.

Yes, but I have to give the credit to my best friend. One day I was playing at her house and she had a script and convinced me to act out scene from "Trouble with Tribbles?" I sure can't remember now. She was precosious. I didn't really pay attention until later in life.

It's a running joke from TOS and TNG. When Scotty is drinking with the Kelvin dude, the Kelvin asks him "What is it?", and Scotty is so drunk he can't think of what to call it so he just says "It's green."

He and Data have much the same conversation in TNG.

So whatever "it's green" is, I'm in!! :D

I now return you to your regularly scheduled question...

As for the tea, they mentioned trading/acquiring technologies with other cultures. I just assumed they found a way to replicate it.

Romulan Ale, or Saurian Brandy (at the very least I want one of those curved bottles).

Kataan (where Picard spent a lifetime in fifteen minutes) seemed awfully nice, while it lasted . . . No I changed my mind. The Kataanan fate is so sad . . . OK no one answered the question yet.

Well, there are sucky things about being any species, I think, but you're right, I don't think I'd necessarily want to be a Vulcan. I think maybe I'd want to be of a shape-shifting race...not sure which one in particular, but it'd be cool to look like anyone or anything I wanted to. I sorta like to reinvent myself any way, so that would be awesome.

Okay, name a celebrity who's unrelated to Trek, that you would like to cast in some kind of Trek role, and tell us what that ideal role would be. (For example, I always thought Alice Cooper would be cool as a Romulan, or Grace Jones as a Klingon.)

I'd always thought Scott Glenn would be a great Trek Captain. Think of him as Alan Shephard in The Right Stuff or that sub captain in The Hunt for Red October and you see where I'm going with this...

Q: If the possibilty existed, would you join a team to colonize another world (Earth-like, no Martian domes or Moon caverns)? And you could bring your family with you.

Only if I thought it offered a safer future for my family. Which is unlikely, but who knows what the future holds.

Absolutely. The point is: would my family like to come with me?

Q:Does the unknown attract you? Would you be ready to face it, for the mere pleasure of doing that?
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.
