Computer whines ahead. You have been warned.

The frelling wi-fi is down yet again, which isn't surprising because the signal here is really weak at best and it goes down really often. And it's frelling annoying. And now it's been down ALL FRELLING DAY and I'm like totally pissed and I wanna kill something. And my computer (C2) is really REALLY slow. Takes ages to switch between open windows. Hell takes ages to switch between TABS for crying out loud. I had to just shut it off in the middle of everything and turn it on again because it was like 10 minutes and it was still busy processing processing processing, it wasn't frozen it was just being really SLOW. And like the wall internet connection is fixed for the moment (after 2 days that it went down YET AGAIN) so I always use the wall connection with C2 and the wi-fi with HAL (because C2 doesn't have wi-fi). But now the wi-fi is down. And like obviously I could just connect the cable to HAL instead since it's faster than C2, well it has like a slower processor but 4 times the RAM so it's way faster, but what about my poor downloads cuz I use Azureus on C2 because it's like the only one that still handles multiple downloads, I miss BitComet because it's like WAY lighter and doesn't slow my computer down the way Azureus does but it stopped handling multiple downloads for some reason so I switched. But I use BitComet on HAL because I don't wanna saddle its slower processor with a heavy application. So yeah. So now I can only use one computer and I'm using the SLOW one. Gah.

Another whine that has nothing to do with computers: I'm all jet-lagged from moving the clock. As if waking up too early wasn't bad enough already. Now I wake up an hour earlier than the previous too early. And as usual I can't go back to sleep. And frelling Zombie laughing like a frelling hyena in her sleep sure doesn't help.

Whine: there's this guy who lives here. He freaks me out. He's ALWAYS where I am. I go to the kitchen, he comes to the kitchen. I go outside, he's outside. And he always tries to talk to me and stuff. And like he only speaks Spanish, hardly any English at all so I don't even know what I'm supposed to say to him. But he's creepy and he acts weird, I don't know if it's like a cultural thing or just a "guy wants girl" thing, but like every time he sees me he has to say hi to get me to say hi back to him, and like how many times a day can you say hi to the same person, I mean really like I said he's always where I am so it happens like every MINUTE, literally when he sees me in the hallway, in the kitchen, in the restroom all the frelling time, when I enter the kitchen to grab something from the fridge and then when I EXIT the kitchen after having grabbed something from the fridge, like seriously WTF, and he always has this flirtatious/sleazy tone in his voice and I hate it. Gross.

There's another guy who once a long time ago cooked too much food and then asked me if I wanted the leftovers when I went to the kitchen to make a sandwich and so I took it because I was starving, and like obviously he stayed there and talked to me while I was eating. And ever since then he's been acting like I'm his girlfriend, brought his PARENTS to meet me and he keeps greeting me like "hi beautiful" or "hi sweetie" or whatever every time he sees me, and also he likes to touch me like every time he walks past me in the hallway or something he has to grab and squeeze my arm or put his hand on the small of my back or stupid dren like that, and I frelling hate being touched and I frelling hate him. And really I don't even know him. I don't even know his NAME for crying out loud. Like why in all hells would I be interested. Like HE talks to me a lot because he likes to be around me when I don't have anywhere to hide from him, but I hardly ever talk back because I don't even know what he's saying, I mean like he DOES speak English unlike the other guy but he just has like the heaviest Mexican accent and the grammar of a lolcat ("no can has" etc) and it's like he's speaking English in Spanish and I can hardly understand a word. I'd understand better if he just spoke Spanish. But yeah so I just sit there awkwardly and listen and say nothing. What exactly about that makes me seem "interested".

And like also every time he says hi to me and I say hi back out of politeness then he has to go like "good morning" in a tone that's obviously trying to force me into replying again, then I just roll my eyes and say nothing because I frelling hate it when people treat me like a 2 year old and try to force conversation on me. I greeted you already. I know you heard me. Don't frelling push it. And he just doesn't get it, I mean like he sees me walk away and raises his voice "I said good morning", yeah I heard you the first time. I just don't appreciate being treated that way. "And what do we say when someone gives us a candy?" "THANK YOU AUNT SALLY!" Uh nope. Get lost. I already learned my manners. I just don't like to waste it on someone who doesn't appreciate it AND interprets it the wrong way.

There's so many tralks here. So many chicks who actually LOOK for "having fun" in terms of "having sex with random strangers". So WHY do these guys have to go to the ice queen?? And treat the ICE QUEEN like one of them tralks who's supposed to actually be interested in that kinda stuff?? I don't flirt. I don't play "hard to get". I don't raise people's expectations and crash them "playfully" or whatever kinda repulsive dren like that. What exactly about me says "looking for a shallow relationship, preferably one-sided since I obviously reject every attempt"??

And like then they get all like "what's with HER??" when I roll my eyes at them and don't react the way they expect me to. Well they're being repulsive. How exactly am I SUPPOSED to react. They act like they're big fat hotshots, expecting everyone to just roll with it, expecting me to see their interest as a compliment. They don't expect to get turned down. Which proves just how much they don't know me, and how much they don't even care to, especially when they take it as "keep trying".

I hate it.

Well, be careful. Given that you say you've given them signals of not being interested, the persistence suggests they're potentially engaging in a bit of bullying, if not worse. I'd very clearly tell the guy who touches you not to ever touch you again. Just be straight and politely tell them you're not interested in a relationship and to please leave you alone. If they ignore that, maybe it's time to mention the terms "harassment" and "police." And let someone else know what's going on. They make think you are isolated and therefore an easy target.

Keep an eye on this guy when he's around, and keep an eye out for him even when it seems like he isn't. He sounds like an obsessive creep to me, so don't be afraid to call the cops in on this guy if he touches you again.

Another whine: I have a Target.com gift certificate so I've been trying to find like water clog thingies to replace the nasty sandals I use for my work because they're falling apart and also they're like WAY too big for me. And they have like women's sizes and children's sizes. Women's sizes are like S-M-L which of course starts at 5 so that's too big as usual. Children's sizes END at 13-1. And I'm a size 2. Like hello what's with the frelling limbo?? Why do manufacturers hate my size?? I mean like if "children's sizes" aren't supposed to go "that big" then at least make "adult sizes" start "that small" or something?? What the frell??

And like if the largest kids' size was just 1 rather than 13-1 I'd just get that because 1 fits sometimes especially with that kinda shoes, but it's the 13 that scares me because 13 rarely fits. So yeah. And I'm not getting a frelling size 5 because I've had it with tripping over myself with the gigantic sandals I have now.

Grrrrr.

Related whine: so since I couldn't find water shoes on Target I started looking on Amazon. And like I'm looking at sizes and then I see that they classify size 10-11 as "toddler".

I wore size 11 in 5th grade.

Like WTF?? I mean like yeah I know I have tiny feet. But what kinda toddler wears 11??

I have to think so hard to find something to whine about, after I ereased my first message that I almost finished my story and felt a bit blue thinking maybe people didn't like it and then thinking I like it, I love writing the story, so don't feel blue, but I don't know how to delete a message and I can't find any thing to whine about. Yes, the wheather is horrible, but it's warm inside and I am going to make me a nice warm cup of chocolate milk with whipped cream. See, I am really bad at whining..

It's the North American version of Siberia - they're both at the same latitude. It's not too bad now (slightly below freezing), but come January, February and March, it'll get down well below zero ambient, and thanks to the wind that's always blowing here, the wind chill will be even worse. Yeah, I know it could be worse (and that it IS in North Dakota). I keep telling myself that only in the twenties is downright balmy -- normally in winter I think yay, that's perfect cross-country skiing weather -- but right now it just doesn't FEEL that way.
