That will probably sound strange to all of you, considering my well know proclivities. But... well... those ones are not Kirk or Spock. Or Uhura. There're things and persons that have to stay in the legend. They belong to it. They mustn't be described beyond the legend. Like Julius Caesar. I don't want to know anything else about him, except for "De Bello Gallico". (Obviously, in the present case, you have to read: TOS. )
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I'm waiting to see this movie. From the trailer I don't have any idea if I like it or not, but it's interesting to see.

I'm not very familiar with TOS, because I was so young when we had reruns on tv and I barely remember although I watched it every week. I became a star trek fan then, but over the years my memories have become very very fuzzy.

But I'm quite certain that I will keep my memories fuzzy and not watch any TOS episodes or read anyhting about it before this new movie, because I'm sure it's easier to enjoy it when you don't have such a clear picture of Spock and Kirk in your head, because even with my fuzzy images I was a bit disapointed about the actor who plays Kirk.

So out of curiosity, if someone were to make an updated version of TOS, would you rather see an updated, more detailed version of the original 1701 (similar to that model at SMF I posted up here a while back), or a kind of "un"-refit version of the movie-era Enterprise, meaning that it would have basically the same saucer and engineering hull and still have the same level of detail, but be fitted with TOS versions of the superstructure, nacelles & pylons, etc.?

^ I'd prefer the latter. A vessel that would track with what we saw on IaMD and Trails and Tribble-ations.
She's got an awfully nice bum!

Ugh. I watched the trailer and though, "This doesn't look like Trek." It looks like an attempt at a standard action blockbuster.

Not impressed at this point. And I've barely seen any TOS, but I'm a Trek fan and I know what it is. And this... this isn't it.
