Hug

Well, you're sure stronger than I would be. Having so little privacy would have put me on the last mile (i.e. someone would've died.)

And no, having a grudge or a phobia is not pathetic at all, none of your reasons are pathetic, so hold your head up high! Hug

EDIT = Dumb spelling mistake!

Gah! I've never understood this roommate thing on American campuses. Shock No privacy, no quietness so you can study in peace...

When I was a student at least I had my own room (with a shower and a toilet). Only the kitchen/common room was shared by about 12 people.

And there are no student houses in Sweden that are built so that you have to bunk with 1-2 other people.

Roommates comes from the idea of sharing the rent, so that means sharing the roof too, even if the "roof" is one room. Wink I have a single myself now though. After my last roommate, who was awesome, anyone else would suck so I decided to move into a designed single.

T'Poptarts, I saw something in Reader's Digest about this company developing a shirt where people can send you hugs, and I thought of you.

Well, people dial it and it sends you a hug. I can't find it again now in RD. Maybe you can find it online.

Re: I need a hug, part 2

I'm scared Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad that frelling bitch Boom moved to another room last night and when she did she complained that everyone else in the room "isn't friendly" and that she can't sleep. The frelling nerve on her. Mad Evil or Very Mad So this morning the manager called me to the office and showed me the note that whoever worked last night wrote about her complaint and like of course it always has to be my fault. And the thing is I've never even said a word to that bitch, I hardly ever interacted with her and when I did I was always respectful etc, which is like the total opposite from her but anyway. Only thing I ever "did to her" was the note I put on my suitcase asking her like not to step on it. Unfriendly my big fat ass, she deserved it for being so selfish and disrespectful. Mad And it's definitely not me who "never let her sleep" ( Rolling Eyes ) because the frelling bitch was the one keeping me awake and not the other way around. All I was doing was tossing and turning in my bed in frustration. Confused Sad Crying or Very sad

And then of course there's the part that I've been trying to explain the frelling manager the other side of the story, but like always nobody lets me say a word, especially like people who have already set their frelling minds on the obvious fact that everything wrong is my fault by default and in every conflict I'm the one who's always wrong no matter who or what in all hells the other side is. And she mentioned that Boom stayed here before and never had any problems, well duh she was staying in a room with someone who was always like way too drunk and high to notice anything. Rolling Eyes And she threatened to kick me out because she always gets complaints about the room, well you know what I'm really not the only person who stays in the room so why does it always have to be me?? Why when someone says people aren't like friendly and stuff it always means "T'Poptarts isn't friendly"?? I share a room with 100y/o Bag Lady who kicks people's stuff all over the place and kicks trash cans and stuff, and Alarm Clock Lady who's a little off mentally and slams doors all the time for absolutely no reason or dramatic effect. Confused Why is it always me. Just because she's established that frelling opinion about me that I'm like anti-social and stuff just because I'm a shy quiet person who hates partying and well all people do here for socializing is partying, drinking, smoking, doing drugs, having sex with strangers etc. So if that makes me like "anti-social" so frelling be it, I just don't like hanging out with this particular crowd. Still doesn't make me like unfriendly or rude or stuff Rolling Eyes

Then I told the manager the only actual interaction I had with Boom was the "please don't step on my stuff" note and what does the manager say, "she steps on it because it's there, I would do the same thing. If there's stuff in the room other people can use it". Like what the frell?? I mean my stuff isn't even like in the way or something it's like in the storage area tucked neatly under the shelf just like it's supposed to be. No mess or anything. And besides since when does being in a shared space mean everyone else's stuff is like automatically yours to do with as you please especially without even asking permission. Rolling Eyes Mad The thing is I know the manager doesn't think this way either and she probably would never do such a thing to anyone but me. Because I know she just has no respect for me, and she's always trying to dig up excuses out of her ass why everyone else is right and I'm always wrong. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad And she would use lies and intimidation like telling me that the reason my friends moved to another room was because they complained I was always working on my computer in the room and it drove them nuts and wouldn't let them sleep. Rolling Eyes Like seriously give me a break. I don't even think she knows what she was talking about. Because first of all my friends are like the kinda people who can sleep through like anything, and second of all I would always work on my computer outside. And I'd come back to the room when I was done and find them both sleeping tight with the light and loud TV on. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes But the frelling manager doesn't like me very much. No matter what the frell I do. She'd come up with like anything to try to get rid of me. So now I'm really scared Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Oh and the manager owes me $10 too. She asked me to work at some crazy hour in the night like way after my shift was over and said she'd pay me but she never did. And the way this "relationship" looks I'm too scared to even ask for it. Sad

I think you ought to stand up to her, but that's hardly a professional opinion.
