Judging from the free view part, the quality on the Amazon screen anyway was pretty poor -- blurry and jerky. (Or maybe that's my DSL connection.) So do you own it after you download it, or is it just temporary?

I have a free view of The Dark Knight for my kid since I ordered the DVD for him for Christmas and now I'm wondering if it will look like this too. Also wondering why the heck I'd want it if I already have the DVD...

And I should probably go just read the FAQs on the site. Sorry.

It looks like it's a temporary, pay-per-view situation. So, if you've got a couple of bucks to throw at it and you're jonesing to see a certain episode, it's probably worth it since that's about what a pay-per-view on cable would cost. (Pay-per-view movies on our cable company are about three bucks.)

I would've just bought my "missing" episodes on iTunes, but they only have Season One. It's a dollar more than Amazon, but after you buy it, it's yours. I've seen all kinds of feedback left asking for seasons 2-4, so we'll see.

^ Yeah, I'm a dope. Not like I've tried hard to hide it.

Funny story: I got Season 4 on DVD for Christmas. My s.o. doesn't like Trek, so I waited for him to leave the house before I started watching...you should've seen me trying to break into the cellophane...the funky little box...pop the disc out...I was so excited, my hands were shaking...like a freaking crack addict or something!! I swear if anyone had seen I would've been hauled away for having some kind of problem.

Yeah, I'm a dope.

I think everyone here can relate to that.

The packaging on those things is so ridiculous. Definitely not green and not something you want hanging around the house either. The crappy pirated versions are much more sensitive to the environment... But they don't necessarily PLAY. (Don't ever buy these on EBay from someone promising you it's the "genuine International" version and "absolutely not pirated.")

I do weights and crunches and crap to Enterprise three times a week. I just gradually cycle through from the Episode 1 to whatever the last one is. Sooner or later I'm going to have to get totally bored with this, but sometimes I still find myself stopping whatever exercise I'm on to watch TnT go at it.

^ Awesome!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had issues with the packaging. Is it just me ore are the discs themselves kind of hard to get out? I even broke the center of one of the holders because the thing just would not "pop" ad let the disc come out. So I'm just putting them each in one of those empty replacement jewel cases and adding them to the stack of the other seasons my friend burned for me. Then at least they'll be together and I won't break stuff more trying to get it out. I really didn't expect the packaging to be like that. The only time I've gotten entire seasons of a show are my Buffy DVDs, and those cases are nicer and sturdier, not that brittle kind of plastic. :(

Yeah, I've broken one or two of those too. Someday I'm afraid I'm going to snap a disk in half trying to get it out. I was hoping to keep them pristine in case I wanted to sell my used copies when I came to my senses, but I think I might opt to put them all in an album and ditch all that plastic crap instead. At this point I've definitely gotten my money's worth. Also, there's just no sign of me coming to my senses. I'm sure it will happen someday ... but ... well, by then will people still be using DVDs?

I don't like the packaging for the different seasons of Enterprise sets the either. I worry about breaking one of the disks trying to get one out to watch them The last disk in the season 3 set with Connor's interview I almost lost it because the plastic tab pop up tab broke and I had a terrible time getting the dvd out without the disk getting broken..The Ds9 sets are brittle plastic too but not as hard to get the disk out to play on my dvd player.
