Re: Daily science stuff
DAMN!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Now if there's a way to extract the waste oil back out and re-use it we're really all set... Otherwise, where the heck do all these oil-soaked gels go?

Re: Daily science stuff
You're probably right. In the trailer park where my Grandma Thelma used to live, whole lots were sinking spongily into decomposing brush and trees. You'd walk around the yard and feel it giving way beneath you.
And it's happened to a neighbor of ours whose house was thrown up quickly a few years ago while the local building inspector was in the hospital. The people who built it used the trees they'd cut down as fill and dug a pond to disguise the water issues on the lot. I'm told their basement is a real mess.
