This has the potential too become extremely contrived, only in a vain attempt to appease ENT-critics that will never care for ENT anyway. I think no such explanations are really necessary.
Actually I think some of this has already been layered into Kobayashi Maru. Probably related to the whole Romulan remote control weapon eventually leading to the prefix codes of later eras. I wouldn't expect it to be a big deal. My concern about the book is if Michael Martin can manage seamless continuity with the writing he did with Andy Mangels in the previous books. I get the feeling that Andy did more of the character moments and scenes, while Michael did a lot of the political and Trekkie minutiae stuff, and I hope the whole doesn't suffer for Andy's absence.

Zane I definitely agree with you about your concern about the latest book. When it comes to the character Moments we saw with Trip and T'Po'ls relationship l in the last few books and the other Enterprise crewmembers too.Zane Gray wrote:Kevin Thomas Riley wrote:I'm not sure I like the ominous sound of:She wants the books to answer the question of "why does the Federation and Starfleet look the way it does [in TOS]?"
