I think I mentioned it at one point, didn't I? -- I LOVED that Australian lady in the Trekkies 2 video. (And not just because she's such an unabashed Connor Trinneer freak!)
OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

Oh, I think they're both a lot of fun. And the second one has quite a lot of Ent including poor CT being interviewed and looking pretty freaked out -- I think it was early in his Trek career.

There's a Trekkies 2? Man, I have to watch that. I watched the first one and was a bit shocked for a moment...

He looked pretty freaked out when I asked him a question. It was one of those, "In season one and two, . . . ., but then in season three, especially after episode X . . . " - type questions. Bottom line: I wanted to know what he thought of the Trip and Archer relationship. He gave me a pretty horrified look and I realized I had become one of those scary fans like in Galaxy Quest. Then he goes, "Well we broke up, but then later we got back together" (Trip and Archer) OK, I deserved that . . . Then he said "Seriously, I think that a missed opportunity was that Trip and Archer ought to have had a conversation about what was going on between Trip and T'Pol. Guys do that. There should have been a scene."

 That was a hoot of a line from him. Sigh. And he's right about the missed opportunity, even if they had to be very circumspect about it.

You rob convenience stories with a batleth... hope this wasn't any of you guys!!!

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colorado Springs police are looking for a man who hit two 7-Eleven convenience stores early Wednesday, armed with a Klingon sword inspired by the Star Trek science fiction series.

The first robbery was reported at 1:50 a.m., at 145 N Spruce St. The clerk told police a white male in his 20s, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and wearing a black mask, entered the store with a sword.

The suspect demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount.

A half hour later, police received a call from a 7-Eleven at 2407 N Union Blvd, where a male matching the previous description entered the store with a sword. He also demanded money from the store clerk. The clerk did not give him any money and the suspect transported himself out of the store on foot.

Both clerks described the weapon as a Star Trek Klingon type sword, called a "Batleth."

Neither clerk was injured in the robberies.

:guffaw: BWAHAHAHAHAHHA!!

That kind of lames up the confession I was going to make today about ordering Enterprise checks for my work account, because I thought somehow that writing out the weekly check for my booth rental would hurt a little less if I wrote it across Connor Trinneer's hotness...

 You can order checks with Connor Trinneer's hotness on them? Oh man, show me the link. This I have to see. Or are they custom checks? (Does this mean KTR could order checks with a Jolene butt shot on them?)

I write about one check a month anymore, thanks to the Internet. When the power was down I paid the electric company twice because I couldn't go online to see if I'd paid them yet or not... ah, the joy of double-paying an electric company when they aren't giving you anything at all.

Here you go: Anthony Grandio Company's Star Trek Checks Page

You can get them of any Star Trek series. The entire cast is included, but you know...

I have to write a lot of checks for my business account, especially when it comes to "paying myself," because everything I have to do has to have a paper trail, so I do this on the advice of my accountant.

Any way, I had TOS checks before from this company, and Voyager ones, but the designs have changed since I last ordered those, and DS9 and Enterprise weren't available at the time, so those are new to me.

Also, for my personal account, I've had Star Wars for the last three orders, but I see they don't offer those any more. :( Oh, well, I guess I'll have to pick another ST series and get my Trekkie freak on.

So, you think Elessar has a good alibi? And did anybody see any ridges on the forehead under that mask?

Well, I wasn't going to mention it, but:

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Is that BnB???

The friend who sent me that article told me someone online had responded that it was a knock-off batleth, not a real one.
