It's cold out here, but there are more dangerous things afoot. The wile of a woman is more treacherous than the bite of the tundra's most ruthless winds.

Calvin & Hobbes is awesome!

maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe

We haven't decided yet. But when I told JT we spent two nights together she went "What? How are you not going out!?" heh. It's complicated. But I think it's getting simpler. She lives kinda far away (4 hrs). I'm planning on going up to see her next week. yay.

Re: Randomness
Does anyone else ever see chipmunks out in the snow in midwinter? I thought those things hibernated, but I was just watching one scavenging under the bird feeder. I can't remember ever seeing that before.

When I checked the boards from my cell phone at work today, I noticed that my post count was "666". I was highly amused.
Bummed now that it's going to be "667" after I hit "submit".

Re: Randomness
So I had yogurt, an orange, and a hot dog for breakfast/lunch this morning/afternoon and I'm taking my stuff to the kitchen and what happens? I drop my spoon. And it broke.
It's this snoopy spoon we've had forever. I knew it was old, but I didn't know how old. I pick it up - 3 pieces - the metal spoon, and two plastic grips that go on either side of the metal handle, and clipped together. I can sorta fix it. It sort of snaps together but I'm afraid it'll come apart in the dishwasher because I'm not sure if a piece that connected them actually BROKE or not. It doesn't feel too stable.
Anyway, for hte first time I pay attention to how oldthe spoon is. Three copyright dates appear on the back (the last usually being when something was made): 1950, 1958, 1965.
I'm gonna clean up the gunk under the plastic grips and then go get some superglue and put it back together. If this thing's really been in our family this long, I need to fix it

That is lovely! My dad and I are huge Peanuts fans. He actually had a gold Snoopy pendant which he passed on to me, but it got stolen with all of my jewelry a couple of years ago.
Now we're looking for a Woodstock one.

Re: Randomness
Has anyone here had any dealings with reunion.com? A former work acquaintance just invited me. I'm already on Facebook because a friend invited me and to be honest I find it really tiresome. I'm also on a professional network and I've found that one really useful. I'm just not keen on another one of these networking sites unless it's particularly useful and unintrusive. (I already waste too much time here.)
Oh, Miss Manners, what should I do???

Re: Randomness
I don't have any experience with that particular one, but I signed up with Facebook and MySpace with the idea I would use them as tools to promote myself as a hairdresser, and I'm already regretting it. All these people from high school are coming out of the woodwork, friending me and sending me "whutup, girl??" messages...suffice it to day I already talk to the people from high school I'm still interested in--all TWO of them. I know people grow up and change and stuff, but I honestly don't understand why they want to "reconnect" with me, when there's nothing to reconnect to; they didn't give me the time of day back then, so it baffles me why I matter now.
Oops. Sorry.
That sounded more like a "Whine Thread" post...and didn't really answer your question.

Oops. Sorry.

Re: Randomness
I would avoid it for the same reason as Aquarius. I'm also in touch with everyone I want to be from high school. ALTHOUGH the weirdest thing happened the other day. A friend from MIDDLE SCHOOL who I would never recognize if I met her on the street today friended me on facebook. I remembered her by her name and the fact that she had defended me from bullys in middle school. I was able to thank her all these years later. That was kind of cool! It's so weird. The details of middle school have completely vanished from my head except for a few little notes in my head like "Cindy G. was a good person."

I'm donating my body to science fiction.
