Well, the prospect of Iranian nukes is a tad more serious than them stealing the Trek logo...
She's got an awfully nice bum!

Wow. Seriously. I don't think you even have to be a Trekkie to suspect a connection.
I'm donating my body to science fiction.

Maybe we could just use that satellite for target practice or accidently hit it with a piece of 'space junk'. Yeah, go for the seemingly accidental solution.
But seriously, ever wonder if this symbol similarity is a result of subconscious imprinting on things Star Trek?

Yeah for cultural imperialism! (Yes, I mean it. It's a good thing. It means others others can't help themselves. They are attracted to the products of our freedom of expression and free enterprise.)
You know you're a Trekkie when:
The mechanic tells you your car needs a new intake manifold and you think to yourself, Oh . . . so cars have those too . . .
I know, I'm pathetic.

Not too much, believe me!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Re: You Know You're a Trekkie When...
You read this entire op-ed column in the New York Times wondering what the hell the headline has to do with it, and realize at the end that you're reflecting not on our economic and political crisis but instead that 1) Maureen Dowd really ought to see that avatar one of our members is using that shows Obama with Vulcan ears, and 2) the headline should say Spock ON the Bridge.
Spock at the Bridge
By MAUREEN DOWD
Published: February 28, 2009
<snip>
It is a moment of so many giant, cascading perils, with so many mind- boggling numbers and cautionary codicils, that it makes your brain hurt. No one, including the new president himself, can possibly know if his risky bets will pay off.
“This is a human enterprise,” he told Lehrer. “It’s not going to be flawless.”
Speaking of the Enterprise, Mr. Obama has a bit of Mr. Spock in him (and not just the funny ears). He has a Vulcan-like logic and detachment. Any mere mortal who had to tell liberals that our obligations in Iraq and Afghanistan are far from over and tell Republicans that he has a $3.6 trillion budget would probably have tears running down his face.

L, Spock in the newspaper! But you also know you are a trekkie when you shoot back at Spock with "Humans aren't the only ones who are not flawless!"

You know you're a Trekkie when your professor comments you're going on a tour to Guayabo on Tuesday, and all you can think about is the fic KRN wrote about it...

Do you know I'm a doctor? Now, how will I be able not to guffaw, when I will have to order a plasma unit?

Even worse: when you think of it that way while you're donating it, to make it seem that much cooler!

Yikes! Another human/machine interface.
Let's hope it is leading to Data and not to the Borg.
