Re: What are you...
Update:
Reading (again): The Long Run ... quite possibly, the coolest cyberpunk genre book I have ever read. I mean, with the main character being called "Trent the Uncatchable" by the media, you just know it's gonna be fun. Highly, highly recommended ... if you can find it, that is.
Amusing bit:

Amusing bit:
Trent said to me once, "A theft is an act of communication. So is a blow. Unlike words, neither one can be ignored. A properly executed boost consists of three elements: what you steal, how you steal it, and from whom you steal.
"You cannot catch a thief who knows this and employs the knowledge properly. If the thief is a very good thief, you may learn, in time, why he stole what he stole."
-The Peaceforcer Elite Melissa du Bois as quoted in The Exodus Bible
"I never ever talk like that."
-Trent the Uncatchable, in a conversation with historian Corazon de Nostri, during the War with the Sleem."

I just finished reading the new Timothy Zan Starwars novel that takes place before the Empire Strikes back. The Hand of Judgement. Reading a new Mystery novel What the cat dragged in. What I'm watching Ds9 season 2 to keep up with the discussions in another thread.

What I'm watching Season 2 of ds9 to keep up with discussions in another thread. What I'm reading I just finished StarWars The Hand of Judgement by Timothy Zahn. I'm reading a mystery called What the cat dragged in .Also reading Classical myhthology by Mark P.O. Morford & Robert J. Lenardon. It's a great book and with all the mythology Rigil has in his stories it's a handy guide to have on hand with the discusssions about his stories having titles to do with Mythology and I'm learning alot from reading this book.

That would totally rock! The Atevi have always vaguely reminded me of Vulcans with their "associations" instead of emotional attachments. I really think they'd get along well with Vulcans. Isn't Cherryh good at coming up with alien thought processes? I love her books.

I always thought of them as a cross between Romulans and Vulcans. I love the assasins guild.
Just imagine C.J.Cherryh writing Star Trek. It would be incredible.

One can only imagine. She'd certainly do Romulans well. Have you ever read "Brothers of Earth"?Hondafan wrote:Distracted wrote:Hondafan wrote:Reading: C.J.Cherryh Foreigner series. Imagine the Enterprise meeting the Atevi.
