Your loss is our loss, BnB. :(
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

BnB's mother-in-law passed away. They were very close from what he said on his blog. In fact, the whole family seems to be pretty tight-knit.

In my country we have a celebration called Queens Day. Everybody has a day off, the streets are decorated with our national colours, lots of people dress up in orange (our national colour), there is music, food, dance, childern games and free market in the street.
Every town, village or city has their festivaties. Every year the Queen and her family visits one or two town, meet the people and join the activities. This year her visit was very close by, but we decided not to go and see the Queen, because it's very crowded and my youngest is too young to be in such a crowd.
So we went to another town and while we were there, we got a call from my family, asking us where we were and if we were watching the Queen and her family.
Turns out, some one had tried to attack the royal family. He drove a car into the crowd on his way to the bus with the royal family that passed by on one road, killing 6 people and injuring 17, including childern. People were flying through the air, people died on the street and everybody was screaming. My colleque was closed by and heared people scream in total agony. It was a deliberate attack, aimed at the royal family and if he hadn't such a small car, more lives would be lost.
I am shocked, emotional, the pictures we seen on television are horrible.

I saw that.
I got stunned.
I have been in your country, many times, and I love it and its people.
I'm close to you, Panyasan.

I saw that on the news too! Terrible, absolutely terrible! :(

And now I heard that the guy who did it has died from the injuries sustained when he crashed his car.

Yes, well, he deserved to die, since he was determined to kill other people like in cold blood like that. It's all the other poor people who didn't. What a terrible thing.

Panyasan, you must be so glad you didn't go!

Well, I certainly won't cry over his demise. Had he lived though, we might had a chance to learn about his motivations. Was he a terrorist or just a loon?

It may sounds strange, but everybody kind of relieved that the person who did this, was a loon. If he had been a terrorist, things would be very different. I would hate that the actions of one loon would change Queens day, but I hope and I expect that we will continue to celebrate Queens Day in the same fashion.

One of my friends (we weren't super close but still) from undergrad, I just found out, drove through a stop sign April 1st and was killed instantly. :( She had 3 young sons - she was a fabulous mother - and was one of those people everyone loved because she loved everyone. And now I found out that the day before, her husband - who I also knew, was my RA freshman year, and everyone also liked - was arrested on suspicion of dropping their month-old baby. Nobody can possibly fathom him doing that. I guess you never know, but I and a lot of other people from college are voicing serious doubts upon hearing this. And his wife was such a sweetheart... those poor, poor boys. (The 4 1/2 year old got doted on by our entire Christian fellowship and, I think, half the campus. Then the middle son is 2 and a few months, I think, and the youngest is only two months old.)

Much sadness and shock here. :( :( :(

JK, could the father dropping the baby have been an accident instead of an intentional act? Either way, it sounds like those three little boys are going to need lots of loving care and the father may need a lot of help in providing it. I am sorry about your friend, their mother. It is indeed a tragedy.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.
