Re: The Upsetting News Thread
How horrible. You can see where she'd be distracted enough to run a stop sign, but my God. Those poor boys.
And while I'm delurking, sorry about your mother-in-law, BnB (if you're around). I remember you talking about her fried green tomatoes. It was clear you had an awful lot of affection for her.

OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

Re: The Upsetting News Thread
What a tragedy!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Re: The Upsetting News Thread
There is special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, 'tis not to come; if it be not to
come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come—the
readiness is all. (William Shakespeare)
Our beloved Oriana is gone. She had eight and a half years of life, which for a rabbit is a long and full life. In a world, and even this thread, of greater tragedies, there is no less feeling within our family for the demise of a small furry friend.
Good bye, Oriana.

I'm sorry for your loss.
She sounded like quite the interesting rabbit character from what you've mentioned of her.

Re: The Upsetting News Thread
Goodbye Oriana.
Linda, maybe you will adopt a new rabbit?

I'm donating my body to science fiction.
Re: The Upsetting News Thread
Oh, Linda, I'm so sorry.
Oriana knew how much you loved her, of that you can be sure.

Re: The Upsetting News Thread
Thank you, everyone! You make me feel better. We lit a candle for Oriana last night, just like we do for any human we know who dies.
It is too soon for getting another bunny right now, we need to finish grieving. But I would like to get a pair of bunnies in a couple of months from an animal shelter. There are always abandoned animals that need a home. And it would be nice to hear the bounding of little feet all through the house again, as we do not cage bunnies, they use a litter box just like a cat. It may take Jim (my husband) longer than me to want another pet, so it will be when he feels ready. Even the parrot misses Oriana. He wanted extra time with me last night.
