Re: Rajin & Similitude
My point is that yeah T'Pol is Vulcan. Vulcans don't usually engage in sex without til' death do us part, AND a mating bond. She has neither assurance from Trip, no wonder she FREAKS the next morning. She knows that for humans sex is casual. It's all-in-all a bad first time.
Some of these people haven't taken their medication. Let's see what happens now...

But again, it's a normal, relatable thing; a lot of people find out they're not cut out for casual sex the hard way. And I'm not entirely sure she necessarily wanted "forever" at that point, any way, because there was a lot about her feelings for Trip she simply didn't understand. I think she acted more or less out of panic over the possibility of being denied the chance to find out. She knew what she felt for Trip was special and important, yes, and maybe even "love", but with so many variables inherent in their relationship I'm sure she felt it was "logical" to try the casual sex route.
Also, she denied Trip the chance to say what he was going to say about the night before. I get the impression that a lot of her backpedaling had to do with trying to reject him before he could reject her. I don't think he was going to. I think he was going to tell her that he thought it was wonderful and would love a chance to see where it goes, and try to gauge if there was any reciprocity in those feelings. But she was too busy having a cow, and sexual encounter notwithstanding, is still pretty bad at reading the "signs."

Re: Rajin & Similitude
That's what I was trying to say! But in case you haven't figured it out I have no experience to judge dear. I'm as much as a virgin as T'Pol was. So I really can't relate. I can't really understand from that POV.

For Trip, though, it was NOT casual sex. And of course, for her, ultimately, it wasn't either.

We know that but they don't. Communication difficulties louse everything up.

Re: Rajin & Similitude
Watched "Home" today in HD.
Noticed something else.
T'Pol leaves Trip with a big blotch of lipstick on his cheek when she kisses him before walking out to marry Koss. So he stood there during the ceremony with her lips imprinted on his face. Also, you gotta wonder what would be going through the head of her bridesmaid who witnessed the whole thing.

Oh, one more thing. Koss is what my friend Jeff would call a "knob."

Re: Rajin & Similitude
What's a "knob"?

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Aquarius wrote:Point being, I don't believe the Trellium "fueled" their sexual encounter. There was already plenty of fuel inside. No, the Trellium was more or less the "permission slip" T'Pol needed to break out of her nature and act on what was going on deep inside. If she didn't care about Trip in the first place, the Trellium never would've become "necessary." Love and attraction and regret over previous mistakes fueled the Trellium, not the other way around.
I quite agree with all you said in your little dissertation, Aquarius!
Sans the Trell-D I think she might still have acted on the Amanda Cole threat, but she would probably have settled for a kiss or so.
She's got an awfully nice bum!

They way we use it refers to a guy (always a guy) who has zero personality. Probably not much of a converstionalist. Dull.
Or about as much personality as a doorknob.
I found Koss kind of creepy. Let's see, Trip, blonde, blue eyes, killer smile, killer bod, personality by the ton, brilliant, loyal, funny, etc. vs Koss. Koss the knob.

Re: Rajin & Similitude
Arg! I liked the way the actor played Koss. He was kind of Vulcan reserved, but he was being traditionally Vulcan. And the final scene where he releases T'Pol, there is emotion there if you look closely. I think he really cared about her! But I am in the minority of non Koss haters I guess.
I don't think he was a knob.

Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Re: Rajin & Similitude
I don't hate Koss. Poor guy is stuck in the middle of a mess, caught between traditional parental duty and a miserable T'Pol. His situation really sucks.
I was wondering if he was the actor who played Gilbert Blythe in Anne of Green Gables, but I was way off. However, in trying to find the answer, I discovered the guy really looks much better as a Cardassian:

And how often can you say that about somebody? Those Vulcan haircuts don't do their men any favors!

I don't HATE Koss, I just think he a doofus. Maybe I reacted the way I did to Koss because I think Trip is just so very lovely! Alelou, yo are so right about the Vulcan "do." It doesn't anything for anybody.
