The only thing I didn't like about Atlantis with respect to the military (Marines specifically) is the same complaint I have about the rest of the world ... and that is that nobody knows or cares about the difference between an officer and enlisted. For instance... Lt. Ford should have been Gunnery Sergeant Ford for the badass that he was, and probably a little older. To have Ford's special operations abilities, he'd almost have to be an enlisted Marine... but that kind of mistake gets made ALL OVER military tv fiction.
