Nice scene. Heh, I liked how Rick became like a boy when he did the space walk.
And realizing his lonliness when thinking about Anna was a bit sad.
A question, what's a HALO jump?

She's got an awfully nice bum!

HALO Jumps
Guess I should add a definition to that, huh?

Re: Rigil's New Endeavour thread...
Nice chapter - very good way for them to discover that there's a traitor. A fission bomb - egad.
I can't say I'd want to go sliding through space on a cable, but the description was great (I particularly like how he was a little jealous of Trip) and I know some people would love it.
Two questions: Why doesn't Rick like Marie? And how was he breaking communications protocol at the end?

Me! I think it'd be a blast! I'm still honked off that my request for Airborne training (jumping from airplanes) was rejected while I was active duty Army 'cause there was no need for Airborne-qualified mechanized infantry guys.
Why doesn't Rick like Marie?
Just a personality thing. He's closed off and believes in a very ordered and structured chain of command. She's loquacious and very much his antithesis in that regard. You'll note that he doesn't feel the same way toward Hess, who is also a very outgoing individual.
And how was he breaking communications protocol at the end?
If you go back and check, he always uses things like Endeavour Six or Endeavour Actual for Trip, or Endeavour Five for T'Pol. He identifies himself as TAC-Six, that sort of thing. By saying "Captain", that's breaking his comm protocol (which is based more on MACO standards than anything Starfleet.)

Thanks for clarifying. Rick seems to hold himself to higher standards than what Starfleet has.

Remember: he never wanted to be Starfleet. He was quite happy being a MACO. In his heart, he's still a MACO. The people he used to serve with would eat these pansy ass Starfleeters for breakfast.

Again more questions are raised.
Methinks there are a fewstarfleeters that have earned his respect.
Nothing can disrupt a man's clairity quite like a female, eh.
Nice scene though.

Well, yeah. I see it as mostly inter-service rivalry. For example, I give CX crap all the time about having been Air Force (i.e. "Boy Scouts without the knives"). It's sort of like that.

This is getting unreasonably good. Your best story by far.

"It is better to be a live jackal than a dead lion."
--King Solomon the Wise
"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." Unless the few are armed.

Re: Rigil's New Endeavour thread...
Oooh, good.
Is the Andorian 4 sexes idea canon, or fanon?
Anyway, I like the idea that, though politics vary somewhat, some parts are always the same. There's something universal about where Shran asks if the Councilor will weigh what is in Andoria's best interest or his. (Note: This isn't a partisan political statement, but a general observation that most politicians have a hefty sense of self interest.)
I also found it very in character for Shran to think that Archer's death would be bad for Andoria - not to admit that he'd be sad.

^ Fanon. I think it might have originated in a Trek novel or comic book.
Writing as TrekPyro.
