Um dangerous I don't think so, but mischevious definitely. I like the idea of her knowing Akido though, it's a defensive martial art not offensive it makes sense. And why she would believe it works against scary aliens is beyond me. But sparring with Malcolm or Travis would be fun.

Ooooh good what if.... What if Travis was ACTUALLY interesting! I mean come on he was HOT and he can act I've seen him on NCIS so why so dull he's the BLOODY PILOT! I thought Travis was absolutely one of the most gorgeous males on Trek, aside from being in bed with his little spy we never got much of an eyefull of him either.

Why couldn't Hoshi be dangerous? She could have hidden it. she certainly duidn't let anyone know that she had a black Belt. That is both defensive and if needdd offensive. IF she was a gambbler and sat in on games where there was a poor loser she would probably be the target of the loser ire because she would appear to be the easiest target at hand so she needed to know how to defend herself. I hated that timid Hoshi who was afaraid of being on a space ship.

Given that Malcom too. He had been in Section 31 as one of their best covert operatratives.
He needed to be dangerous to stay alive. but that was never shown. just that stupid
ARcher worsip and stiff upper lip.

I would have loved to see both Hohsi and Malcolm as being competent types who were able to take care of themselves and have a three parter with them off on a dangerous mission together. that would have given Park and Keating some screen time and developed their characters.

NOw there is a what if for you....Malcom and Hoshi on a very dangerous away mission.

Is there kissing involved? :D Seriously she's an expert on accents and languages, how can she resist Malcolm's Voice? He was pretty sexy too, a little "vertically challenged" for me but very built and good on my eyes. ;-) I figure if boys are allowed to drool over T'Pol I can drool over the boys.

Me, too. She should have at least worn a Starfleet Uniform after she got her commission.

What if.......T'Pol was able to talk to Trip when he was dying in "Observer Effect?"

What if... Trip told Hoshi EVERYTHING in Observer Effect! He needed a woman's POV anyway. ;-)

I think T'Pol's uniforms were more modest than Jeri Ryan's at least there was no crazy corset. Now as a rule I think that corsets are pretty awsome, in the right attire, or you know... By themselves on a wedding night! ;-) But in the Borg catsuit, I can't help feeling that the TPTB thought the 18-25 demographic were all into bondage. CREEPY!

NO kissing involved . I said Dangerous mission no time for lovey dovey. Too intent on doing thier job and getting out alive.

Trip spilling the Beans to Hohsi?

T-Pol being able to talk to Trip while he was dying in Observer effect?

Whhoo. archer would get an earful. what would he think.

Catsuits. I read that ryan took two hours to get out of that thing so if she had to go potty she was in deep trouble.

ryans catsuits looked as if they had been painted on. JB's were tight but not THAT tight.

Democraphics. 14 year old as far as the Beebs were concerned.

Well, given the right situatin one usually can lead to the other.

If Malcom did covet Hoshi and the opportunity rose where he could express that in a romantic way and hoshi wwas feeling the same and willing to accept him even to opening her Space for him. Not beyond the ralm of possiblity.

Not the most romatnic setting but.....

Meh I think people move too fast, kissing is great, holding hands is great, snuggling is awsome, hugs, and so much more... Why is it one minute people on TV kiss and before you can tell they're really enjoying it they're tangled up in sheets?

Any martial art is offensive if one simply removes the initial block from the movement. I studied martial arts with my son and it doesn't matter what they say it's all offensive if applied in the right way and would work against scary aliens. My instructor made a point of impressing this on me so I would know I could protect myself if I needed to.

Yeah, poor Travis. Again, the writers didn't know what to do with him. Considering his Boomer background, he could've been a LOT more active and useful. *sigh*

That's very true. Aikido is considered a "soft" martial art, but so is tai chi chuan, and either can still be very effective for offense as well as defense. I took 2 years of aikido in college. My sensei said that ANYTHING could be used as an offensive weapon.

The writers never wrote her consistently. That black belt could've been handy on the Xindi weapon. And sometimes it's the quiet ones that you have to watch out for. People tend to underestimate "vertically challenged people". I'm 5'3, Asian, wear glasses, had 2 years of aikido and had been in Navy ROTC in college. People are surprised when they find that out.

Yup. The way they wrote him, he was too "soft" to be a dangerous covert agent. And the ending where Archer was his only commanding officer. Considering Archer never listened to his safety precautions...sigh.

Amen to that. And yes, I've written some of that in my fanfics.
