I agree with Bether and JK. Lie To Me is exhibiting all the classic signs of potential 'shipiness' in Cal and Gillian.

SPOILER!!!:
Especially after that whole "Cal pretends to forget his glasses to go back and catch her husband dallying with another woman" thing. Even if that did, indeed, turn out to be him meeting with his sponser, it clearly showed that Cal cared enough about Gillian to not want her "wronged" in any way. Cal's horror when Gillian is attacked, Gillian uncomfortable with Cal hookin' back up with the ex-wife, the kid's perceptiveness. I believe TPTB are putting all of that out there to say, "this is going to be an issue between them for the duration of the show's run."

They may never make an actual 'ship, but the potential is sure there.

You should be nice to us girl. :-P Fifteen years we've been waiting. And that's with a decleration of love. 15 YEARS! Talk about torture.

I didn't intend to be mean. :?

I just thought of another show - did anyone else 'ship for Harm and Mac on JAG?

Oh I was teasing,   no worries. But really JAG was just as bad. I told my grammy from the very first Mac episode, he's mad for her. She thought I was nuts. So for four years I waited, I watched her go to Russia, harbor him as a fugitive, kill for him, fight for him, trade herself to an Iranian tribal leader. And then what happens? BugMe aka Mic Brumby. The show jumps the shark, completely. And I still have to wait ANOTHER FOUR YEARS.      Oh that got me mad.

Ah, but Brumby had one of the best breakup lines ever: "Goodbye, beautiful."

I saw that episode once when it aired however many years ago (seven? eight?) and still remember it. Somehow the line struck me.

I don't know how they thought Mac/Webb could work. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Webb sometime more than Harm when Harm was a Jackass which was a lot. But give me a break. Steven Culp is AWSOME though. But come on Harm/Mac they were in each other's blood. The looks they'd give each other, not to mention all those "Not getting together kisses." Please, talk about primal behavior, they had it in spades. But they were idiots worse than TnT. And they were OLDER!

One word: regulations.

Although I'd thought perhaps a loophole since they weren't in the same branch of service.

And how come Harm and Mac were forbidden but that other couple (forgot the names, the married pair) were okay?

Bud and Harriet. Well it would have been easy to get then out of the same chain of command and still have them partners. Just like Bud and Harriet. Regs an only be used to cover stupidity for so long. 8 years is too long, just like 15 is too long for Stargate.

Okay, I'm getting a little more committed to Sookie and her Vampire Bill. And I really want to know if Michelle Forbes is Satan, or what. Or is she turning men into pigs like the enchantress in the Odyssey? Just what's the mythological/fantasy/horror weird deal with her?

True Blood is just so wonderfully evil. HBO is even more evil. First they get me addicted to True Blood, then I actually sat there and watched Hung. And thought the poor schmuck was really cute. It's like trying a gateway drug and then moving down to the next level of degradation.

All I can say is stay away from them both, fair maidens. Leave them to old middle-aged hags like me. 8)

Frightening! Anybody go nuts for Josh/Donna on West Wing I swear NOBODY had the intellectual and sexual chemistry mix like they did.

Say, in the second half of SG-1 season 7 I finally saw Jack/Sam chemistry and shippiness. Well, what do you know.

Random comment: notice how most of the 'ships are dramas? Do we even have any comedic 'ships?

Not from me. I don't like sitcoms I think they're moronic for the most part.

Hey now! It's okay to say that you don't like something, but no need to be tacitly insulting of people who DO like them. "Moronic"? :tsktsk: Let's try to be a little nicer, shall we?
