I've been on something of an Apollo binge these past few days. Watching the From the Earth to the Moon TV series and scouring the 'net. And today they aired the TV movie Moonshot, which had Spike... I mean James Marsters as Buzz Aldrin.
I kinda like Buzz. He's one of my favourite astronauts, and I'm not saying that because he's of Swedish ancestry. His grandfather was actually from a place called Stjärnfors (which fittingly enough means "Star Stream"), not that far from where I live now.

Did you True Blood / Hung fans out there see the Pacific trailer on tonight!?
OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG! This is amazing looking. I have heard about it for a good 2 yrs now. I can't wait... it follows a couple of Marines through the Pacific and if you didn't know any better, you'd think they were just a couple of average guys, but I remember reading about it and one of them is named John Basilone... MOH Recipient. Another is Eugene Sledge, author of "With the Old Breed".
I can't wait!

It looks thoroughly gut-wrenching. I don't know if I'm up to it. I still have PTSD just from watching "Saving Private Ryan." (Okay, that's an exaggeration, but not much of one.)

I knew it. I just knew it. We have been invaded by aliens and they are behind making these advertising images on the moon. These aliens are not the Vulcans. Not the Andorians. Not even the Romulans or the Klingons... No, we have been invaded and conquered by the Ferengi! 
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.
