Well today I got hit by a car. Not like bad or anything it didn't really "hit" me just like "tapped" me I guess. Like I was on my way to the bus stop. And there was this car coming out of the parking lot it was turning right. And I was coming from its right side. And the car was stopped, it was just waiting for its chance but like of course there's the stop line thing that the cars are supposed to stop behind, but they passed it the car had its nose on the road already and that's how it was standing there. And it was just waiting waiting and waiting. And like then I had to cross the parking lot exit, and I was really close to the car because it was all the way out and didn't leave me space and I sure as hell didn't wanna walk in the middle of the road. But all that time they were waiting the driver was only looking left at the oncoming traffic. And they didn't look to the right even once. So like just when I was crossing all of the sudden they start driving and I was walking really close to the car to begin with, then the car hit me and pushed me, so I hit it back WTF THEN they stopped. Gah I so wanted to scream at them "the stop line is way over THERE, and I look both ways so should you!!"

Hell no, they stopped after they saw they hit me with the car to let me finish crossing and then they just went on their merry way.

But I'd always heard that the traffic in LA was friendly and safe....like fluffy bunny rabbits.

Well, I've now booked a vacation trip for me and my parents to Prague on the week of 10-15 August. It will be nice, and Prague is such a beautiful city (haven't been there in over 20 years). I just hope the weather will be fine and no rain.

I envy you, KTR, Praque is on my list of cities that I haven't seen and still want to see. It's a great, beautiful and historic city, I have heard.

I remember watching Mission Impossible when I was like 14 and they were in Prague and I thought: I gotta go there one day!

Thanks! And yes, I strongly recommend a visit if you have the chance. Especially if you're from across the pond and plan a trip to Europe. We Europeans have a lot more chances, geography-wise.

I have a funny memory from the last time I was there. We were at Hradcany, the big castle and seat of the President, and it just happens that it was the time Communist leader Gustav Husak was receiving the new German ambassador. So the military orchestra played "Deutschlandlied" (itself an odd event considering the Nazi occupation) and the flag was hoisted on the roof. But it wasn't the German flag. Some poor schlob made a mistake and up the flag of Cyprus went. We pointed at it and made comments and eventually it was noted inside. A small hatch opened on the rooftop and a soldier quickly pulled down the Cyprus flag and hoisted the German one.

I hope no one went to Gulag for that incident!

Emberchyld and Aquarius, about the purple and orange hair. I just replied and the post seems to have disappeared. So forgive me if I'm repeating myself.

You are right Emberchyld that purple's fade so I didn't panic. I reapplied the purple this time focusing on the ends and went to Jamaica with very purple hair, but as you predicted, it faded fast, especially with all the swimming. But in the future, I think I will go with "outrageous red" because then I feel like I'm not trying to be something I'm not. Everyone will know it's fake and that I'm just having fun with it, not trying to pass as someone without grey hair.

Thanks. I had fun making it. That is me talking. Actually I don't like my voice, because I sound about 12 years younger than I am. It sounds fine to my ears, but too high when I hear how it sounds to other people.
