Oh so you're talking about Admiral Kirk, not Captain Kirk. OK Admiral Kirk I can see.

Well, Kirk went back to Captain after TVH... :raspberry:

Still, even Captain Kirk (before becoming an Admiral) would've been a good Prez. A bit young perhaps, but he was a good leader back then too.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

It's called delegation.

Oh Dis THAT'S PERFECT! And KTR I ignore the fact he got demoted, to me he was the Admiral growing up and always will be. God I feel all young and stuff, it's been a while. ;-) :happyjump:

So anyway I tried getting through this video, I really did. It's quite clever. I got half of the way. Someday when I don't have homework to grade maybe I'll go back and try to get through it all. But it's hard work when all thejokes fall flat because of your political point of view.

But what really caused me to click out was that this guy thinks KIRK would be a good President.

:explode:

Kirk plus Spock plus McCoy, maybe. Yeah, I buy that analysis. Just Kirk? God help us.

Well when you think about it, every president has a cabinet of advisers whom he (we hope) listens to...and Spock and McCoy were Kirk's in terms of their role in Kirk's decision-making processes, so I think the analogy is valid.

You know you're a Trek fan when you're writing a Justice League fic and in the part that Hawkgirl explains Green Lantern why she hates his beard one of her reasons is that it makes him look like his evil twin from a parallel universe. :? :explode:

I don't know if it was specifically stated in canon that Archer became president of the Federation, but I had the impression it was implied. Didn't Daniels show Archer some vision of the future where he was important in the creation of the Federation in order to get him to do something? Anybody remember the episode?
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Yeah, the last one. (Shudder.) Also hinted at in one of the Xindi episodes (Zero Hour?). But I don't remember Archer being President, just a driving force who gave an important speech and presumably did some arm twisting/diplomacy. I sure wouldn't expect a President of an organization like that to be someone who's uniformed as if he's serving in a military capacity for one of the member planets.

But maybe I've missed something...thus the question.

It was shown on screen in the database on the Defiant in In a Mirror Darkly, Part 2. The Defiant came from "our" future and had the historical facts about what happened to the real counterparts.
