Okay, down where it says who's online, I'm used to seeing bots, and I know they're no big deal.
But today, for the first time, I've seen something calling itself a "spider". What the heck is that, and do we need to be worried about it?
Thanks.
What's a "spider"?

An eight-legged arachnid.... KILL IT!
Ok, so it's a bit like a bot. Search engines like google use them to go through the web and make sure data is up to date.

Nothing really to worry about unless you don't want our site cataloged. But there are fixes for that.

Just wanted to make sure because "spider" sounds less benign than a "bot."

Isn't Spider the nickname for the Lunar Module?

She's got an awfully nice bum!
