Had two of my first three tests this semester. Boy was I wigging!!

I think I got at least a B on my history exam, and that's assuming that I got all the questions I felt "iffy" about are wrong.

I got 48/50 on my computer exam, the highest in the class. :D Plus, we get 3 grace questions that don't count against us, so technically I got over 100%.

Hoping that Friday's linguistics exam goes as well!

I'm glad things worked out, here's hoping the history turns out better that you hoped.

My happy news my younger sister is five months along in her pregnancy and we're thrilled because she had two miscarriges before, so this baby will be spoiled completely rotten because it's a miracle baby.

I am really curious about linguistics. I'm trying right now to relearn Thai. I have no good reason to do so. I'm never going back to Thailand. But a new language really make you think about fundamental things you otherwise take for granted: how people communicate and even think.

Thanks, JzK! It's Western Civilization up to 1649. Fun stuff! :D

Wow, sounds like you are having a good semester, Aquarius.

I am considering some courses to earn a certificate in web design and/or conversational Spanish - if none of my job applications come through before my current position is eliminated. It has been extended to January 31, but it still is ending. I am choosing coures that are related to skills I have seen desired on job descriptions. But I am also wondering if it is worth the money to take these courses as I will be 62 in February and despite the law, I KNOW my age has been working against me in the full time employment market. But if I don't get hired by Jan. 31, I will be taking my retirement pension and looking for part-time work. I have heard that older workers are extremely desirable for their experience and reliability...as long as they don't want a lot of benefits along with their pay. So someone who is getting health insurance through their retirement plan might be a good employment prospect...I am hoping! :?:  :?
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Good luck, Linda! At the very least, classes will show a perspective employer that you're willing to learn in order to bring something new to the table, so whatever courses you take, it'll work in your favor.

I just noticed that my actual reply to JzK didn't make it into my post with the quoted portions. Don't know what happened there! :wtf: At any rate, it's Western Civilizaiton to 1649.

1649? Huh. That's a random year to pick, IMO.

Right.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Sometimes I want to kick people for being stupid about who they want to hire, but if it makes you feel any better Linda a wheelchair doesn't help either.
