Rig, your thoughts?

I wish I was that smart. It's an oops.

And blame Wikipedia for the Bombay/Mumbai thing...

Both are fixed now...

Aww, I like the dancing. It's very sweet. And there's an intriguing tidbit about Archer ordering Hayes to Intelligence that has to be connected to Harris. Hmmm...

Nice character piece. I liked the portrayal of Sim as Frankenstein.

I really like the way you write Trip & T'Pol's bond. I think T'Pol has her work cut out for her, though. As always, Trip's keeping everything inside. Major nightmares ahead. Great job!

It just seemed logical to me. I mean, if you've read The Modern Prometheus, the monster was more of a victim than anything else (or at least that's how I perceived it), so it seemed fitting to cast Sim in that role.

In what way? I've been going out of my way to try and avoid the usual mental telephone (not that there's anything wrong with that) because my interpretation of the bond is much different than that. Truthfully, the two versions of the bond that I've seen written the best (and this is entirely my personal opinion which is worth squat) are the one as seen in MissAnnThropic's Cry Havoc and the one seen in Blackn'blue's fics. If my version of Trip wasn't ... adjusted (which I will address and explain ... cue maniacal laugh), I think that the bond would be more akin to one of those since humans aren't naturally telepathic.

As always, Trip's keeping everything inside. Major nightmares ahead. Great job!

Ah, but see, T'Pol can just change the channel.

Oh how romantic this last chapter Smile ,i did get kinda freaked out when i imagined Half-Head Sim though Smile ,it was very creepy .
And i'm looking foorward to you'r explanation of the improved Trip ,i bet it has something to do with Observer Effect Wink.
You do some very great T/T'P private scenes (as rare as they are Sad ) and dialogue ,it's very "in carachter" .
Great fluffy and relaxing chapter after all the nuking and fighting ,keep em' coming Thumbs Up

Nah ... see, he was actually abducted by Porthos (who is actually the Daniels' shapeshifter's alternate form) and modified. Laughing

Lovely! I was so afraid that terrible things would happen in this next chapter because the characters had received a happyish reprieve in the last one. You write Trip & T'Pol beautifully

Also...Trip tangos! Somehow, I just knew he did.

This was fantastic as usual, so now it's back to waiting impatiently for the next installment Very Happy

The bond...hmmm. We know that in a dream or in a meditative state, they head off to T'Pol's white space and they can communicate with one another in complete sentences. With that said, I, too, don't see the bond as a cranial walkie talkie. That's too easy and not half as much fun.

Most of the time, I could see them transmitting emotions, images and -- I'm not sure how to say this -- conversations without words. Sort of like speed reading. Instead of reading every word -- like I do -- you gulp up paragraphs of text in one glance. I could see Trip and T'Pol working through a disagreement -- he in engineering, she on the bridge -- in a fraction of the time it would take them to state their positions verbally. In times of expreme stress or emotion, I could see them being more sensitive to one another and more open to communication.

Proximity is also a factor. If you accept Vulcans as touch telepaths then they would be able to communicate more efficiently if they were touching. I could see verbatim conversations occuring more easily in this scenario. The farther away from each other, the more difficult it would be for them to communicate with one another. But from what we saw in Affliction, distance also seems to make it more imperative for them to communicate with each other.

Does this gel basically with the way you see it, Rigil? It seemed to me that this is the direction in which you were headed.
