Well the way I learned it in color theory, was the teacher took a stack of colored paper and flipped through it increadibly fast, and all we saw was white sheets. When we mixed pigments we learned that mixing colors like red and green would always make grey, but not true black. It was a long time ago.

PS. The Hologram of T'Pau was this episode of VOY entitled, "Darkling." Her robes are silk, patterned, but her headdress is red and black with a huge gem in it.

Well, thanks to the miracle of google, I found this page:

The answer is: it depends on who you ask. My guess is that Vulcans would take the more scientific approach.

I really didn't know that. It goes to show how much I remember VOY.

Well, anything you remember of VOY is a waste of precious memory. IMHO it was the worst of all ST series :bitch:

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Huh. It was my favorite, after 'Enterprise'. I loved all the characters, and I've seen every episode. I've also seen every episode of DS9 (which was OK, but not great). I've only seen a handful of STNG, since I quite watching when every episode I saw either had that annoying little twit Wesley Crusher (who gives me a rash), or Deanna Troi's mom, (who set my teeth on edge), or Whoopi Goldberg in that silly hat, (who I could never take seriously, especially when she was revealed to be some kind of God-like Q-type entity). Riker didn't grab me at all. Picard was okay, just a little too touchy-feely for my tastes. I did like Data, though.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

Right, because you're still talking about the reflection of light off of those colored pieces of paper.

And yeah, you get muddy colors like gray or brown by mixing red and green together because colors across the color wheel neutralize each other.

I forget how they solve the "true" black problem. It's been a long time since Mrs. Olds's sixth grade art class, and at work I never have to mix anything to make black, I just open up a tube of black and add developer. ;-)

Awesome. I knew that black haircolor used to contain tar, especially the drugstore stuff (maybe it still does), which is what made it so hard to strip out when people came to the salon to have us fix the mistakes they'd made in their kitchen.

Nope, no Mr. T starter kits for T'Pol, regardless of what the rest of the kids are doing on Vulcan. I see her digging something simple but meaningful--we already know she's susceptible to sentiment as she went so far as to bring Grandma's purse with the rest of her belongings in "Carbon Creek" instead of leaving it in storage or with her mom or whatever. So I think she'd think it's great no matter what, if Trip picked it up from a time or place that coincided with an event or milestone that had particularly significant meaning for them, be it a vacation they took together, or around the time they had a "relationship epiphany", or something like that.

Personally I don't think T'Pol would stick to any one style. I think she'd be one of those people that would just pick what appealed to her. If it's fashionable, fine. If it isn't that's fine too. And I think that would apply to anything in her life. Not just jewelry or adornments.

Wow! Oh and thank God Transwarp I'm not alone! But I'm also a TNG fanatic. I hated DS9. I love the decoder ring, I WANT ONE!

You'll get no argument from me about that. Although sometimes I wonder if TNG isn't there too. That show hasn't aged well.

You've heard about the odd-even rule of Trek movies - odd numbered ones are the more bad ones. For me the Tv shows are like that, but reversed. The odd numbered shows - TOS, DS9, ENT - are the good ones.
