Put a request up at freecycle.org for one. You never know... We get them in at the thrift shop fairly regularly, but unless they are packaged up neatly by an unusually anal-compulsive donator, I usually toss them because nobody buys old games with multiple pieces in thrift shops (and the kids who come in soon scatter the pieces all over the shop).

That's assuming you have a local freecycle chapter (here it's usually by county). And you have to put up at least one thing you want to get rid of yourself first.

Wal-Mart has cleaned up their act in so many ways and actually taken the lead on conservation that I now feel like I might as well shop there, but I just find it utterly depressing. It's just so UGLY, like a big dimly-lit grey warehouse. Target has the same crap, for the most part, but I'm quite contented in there. Maybe it's just a simple matter of really liking the color red.

I loathe Wal-Mart, but mostly because I'm there WAY too often and the place is HUGE. Target is okay. I think I just don't like to shop.

The man the Rain Man was inspired from Kim Peekhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Peek has died. I remember how well Dustin Hoffman played his character in Rain Man. I remember a documentary about savants with Kim Peek in it. His memory was amazing.

McAfee just warned me off Memory Alpha. Has anyone had issues with that?

I'm trying to research the difference between a plasma storm and an ion storm, damn it. Where else am I supposed to do that canonically?

(Yep, I started writing something even though it's really the last thing I should be doing...)

Ummm... if I read these sources right, in the real world it looks like they're pretty much the same thing. Dunno if ST canon makes a distinction, though.

Thanks!

Of course, in the interim I just threw a convenient ion storm in there with very little concern for the actual science. 8)

Elessar would know. Ooo . . A plasma is an ionized gas. (Wikipedia) :)

I wouldn't worry about it if you haven't had problems with Memory Alpha before. The ex has mentioned that McAfee and Norton have been known to give false positives.

There was something like 300 people on that plane. It could have been horrific. The bad guys are still out ther trying to kill civillians. Be vigilant, folks.

Mythbusters is going to be testing a Kirk scene - making a cannon in "Arena." Read about it and watch the preview here. It's on Monday night. And since I don't have cable here, if anyone watches it, would you mind PMing me with the verdict?
