I was a night owl by nature in my youth (which really hurt when I had high school beginning at 7am in Florida), but that has changed over the years and now I like getting up and taking advantage of the morning when my energy and focus are best. After 3pm I'm pretty useless. (I also hate losing any precious daylight this time of year.)

I also suspect I could more easily lose my nice middle-aged love handles if I just went to bed earlier. Once I hit 10pm I start wanting something more to eat.

Oh wait, I want something now and it's nowhere near 10pm...

When I'm up and outside in the morning, I always look around and sniff the air (and I'm all forested in, so it smells like FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORKS) and I think to myself, "Why, morning is so nice! No wonder people chatter on about how nice it is!" But no matter how nice it is, if I am somehow allowed to, I will sleep past 1pm every single time. Course what with the children and dogs and goats and chickens all a-calling by 7:30am every day, it's not usual that Priso and I ever get to sleep in. Sleeping in is the first thing I'll do when all the kids leave home. I'll sleep in till I'm dead. Image

I really sometimes hate people who can truly sleep. If I get 4 broken up hours a night I'm lucky. I just lay around until my body tells me it can move. Sometimes that's early sometimes it doesn't happen at all.

Okay, so there's this song that I totally fell in love with when I was 16...never heard it on the radio, but it was in the rotation of a couple of local rock video shows back in the day. (Yeah...this was back in the Stone Age...y'know, the 80s). So I've been looking for it for EVER, found it a couple of years ago but you had to join the guy's fan club to get the exclusive CD...wasn't on iTunes or at Amazon or anywhere...

So on a whim I check with iTunes this evening and THERE IT WAS!!! :happyjump: So yeah, I bought it. Happy girl now. Listening to it for like the third time now as I type...

Don't classify 80's as the stone age quite yet please. My birthday is 3 months away I want to enjoy what I have left. What was the song?

"The Message is You" by Gary Myrick...doubt you'd know it, since like everyone else on the planet looked at me cross-eyed as I searched for it.

And to many people in your age bracket, yes, the 80s might as well be the Stone Age. Only about 2 people in each of my classes are old enough to remember Reagonomics, not including the professors.

Well I guess I'm the exeption to your rule. I have many clear memories of the time INCLUDING president Regan. I prefer not to think of myself as born in the stone age. Because even though I spent less than 6 years in it that makes me pretty Dang old. I look up that song though, I may have heard it and not remember the title.

I would like to publicly declare that Alexa Ray Joel is a beautiful young woman. The a-holes who harsh on her because she doesn't happen to have her mom's beach bunny looks can go hang. She should count herself lucky that she favors Sophia Loren or Cleopatra over her mom. Maybe she'll attract a better class of man.

This is an older blog post about her recent suicide attempt, but please look at the photo and tell me how anyone (like say, Perez Hilton?) harsh on her looks:

Honeybee, who IS Alexa Rae Joel?

Regan? Hell, I remmeber FDR, Truman, Eisenhower and those that followed. I can remeber when Gas was 20 cents a Gallon. Anyone rember Quemoy and Matsu? A Presidentail election hung on those two little sand bars right off the Coast of the Chinese Mainland. "Would you defend Quenoy and Matsu" Nevear did her what happened to them after the election. My point being, what is important today is fogotten tomorrow. I relax these days when an election goes on because I know what all of the yelling a will be forgotten quickly.

BTW, Best President I have ever seen was Harry Truman. It was said that He was right on all of the Big decisions and wrong on all of the small ones." Not a bad batting average really

Alexa Ray Joel is the daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley. She looks like her dad, while her mom was a supermodel. She's been the butt of some very nasty internet jokes calling her ugly, even though she recently had something of a breakdown.

OK Here's my take on it... People love to rip other people to SHREDS. But more than that people love to watch famous or wealthy people get ripped to SHREDS. The commentators who do it make lots of money to do it. It's DISGUSTING! But unfortunately considered perfectly acceptable and a part of human nature in society. My family actually knows Billy Jole. Not me, Uncles do. He's very active on Long Island and my uncles are very active and they worked at some of his hang outs back-in-the-day.

Personally I think Christie Brinkely is rather unattractive. She's so "Fake" and cookie cutter. There is nothing memorable about her. Alexa obviously is a mix of her parents but inherited far more charm and exotic coloring. She has a face that painters would love, and I like her plae skin and dark looks. It's awful that because of her fame she's targeted for vicious attacks. However, I think that her parents have a responsibility to help her with her self esteem. I saw an interview with her because she's trying to get into music, and I was shocked at how little reguard she seemed to have for her singing, her looks, everything. I don't think she's had an easy life even if her father wrote many many songs for her. Songs obviously weren't what she needed growing up.

They're still part of the Republic of China/Taiwan and thus escpaed Communist tyranny. They're sometimes called Mazu and Kinmen.

There was talk by Taiwan of turning Mazu into a resort island a decade or so back and Kinman into a low level radioactive waste site at the same time.

Am I old enough now?

To a Romanov there is no such thing as a Semi-Precious gemstone. If it's a "gem" they'll use it and A LOT OF THEM. Not to mention they are HUGE! Seriously Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B artists would fall down and die at the sight of so many colored diamonds. That's just the diamonds, it gets more outrageous with "less precious" stones.
