Don't worry. I generally do. I'm a Canadian, remember? ;)

I have a whine. You see my dog who I gave to my mom because he used to pull me out of my wheel chair, taught my dad's dog a huge St. Banard to run away and cause trouble. So they went off last night causing all sorts of panic. And Thank god, a nice lady found them. But in the process this "nice lady" offered to find my dog another home. I thought I could take it. After all I gave him up to my mom. But I nearly stopped breathing and my heart beat so fast. I felt like I was dying, and I am familiar with that feeling literally. Now I'm pretty miserable, even though mom said she wouldn't do it. She also said it might be better for him. I feel sick...

So, Warpgirl, your mom may be giving your dog away? And the possibility of this happening is frightening to you? Maybe try and discuss what you've been feeling around this with your mother. I'm sure she would consider your feelings before making any decisions. Don't you think? I'm sorry it feels scary. :(

My best friend is moving away... which is sad. That's my little whine. And I missed an assignment deadline because I procrastinate. That sucks too, but is totally my fault.

I dislocated my toe in yoga last night. The one next to the big toe. That hurt. And it was freaky.

Then, I popped it back in place and continued with the class. It was almost over anyway. Wasn't going to miss corpse pose for a hurt toe. It's the best part of the class.

But my toe still hurts this morning. No swelling though.

You got that right! Though I ended up skipping Yoga last night because I got home too late after taking Elvis to the vet.

Hope your toe is better soon!

ab--How far away is your friend moving? I had a rough time with that myself about ten years ago. I met my best friend when she moved to my hometown when we were in fifth grade. After we graduated from high school, we both went to the same college, and after varying degrees of attending/dropout status, we both stayed in the same town for about ten years after that. Her sisters had all moved to the area as well, and for about half of that time most of us lived in the same apartment complex. I was never away from my second family.

Then in 2000 I moved to the Detroit area. Was the first time in 20 years I hadn't lived in the same area as my BFF, and we were now an hour away from each other so while we stayed connected by phone, email, IM and all that, it was no longer as simple as just coming over to each other's place whenever we wanted or stopping by the other person's job to go have lunch. She's since moved a little closer to here, so now we're only about a half hour or so apart, which makes the visiting thing easier, but still, it's not the same as being in the same city.

My best friend lives in TX but before that she was in PA and first I was in NY and now VA. But man I still hate that I can't see her whenever wherever. But thank God for technology. You'll never have to wait for a letter. Or worse lose contact all together.

Yeah. It will just be a bummer. She's my workout buddy too, so I'm going to have to find a new one of those. Sorry about your toe that sucks.

Unfortunately the iPod doesn't talk you out of not going when you're just not into it and don't feel like going.

True but I guess for me there are some songs I cannot not start moving too. Like Heartbreaker, and Hot N Cold. So playing those would make me move whether I wanted too or not.

My best friend in high school in western Massachusetts was born in Dumont, NJ. This is a really little town, one mile square, in the NYC suburbs. I lived lots of places as a kid, but once I got married we moved to ... Dumont, which is where we had our son. And I was born in Pinellas County, Florida, which is where my friend now lives with her husband and had her daughter. And I swear, it's not like either of us ever spun tales about how wonderful Pinellas County or Dumont are. It's a weird kind of symmetry.
