Wonderful WarpGirl! You know, long scratchy fingernails is a thing with babies. I think the mom can chew them off. Or you need teeny baby fingernail clippers. Long hair is special! I wonder how long before mom can bear to give baby his first haircut.

My sister will probably be ok with it. If I know her husband he'll want to keep my little man's hair pretty short. And she lets him decide things like that. In return she get to wear his clothes whenever. The origional t-shirt and jeans couple, and now the little guy will match. I can't wait.

Little baby scissors are safer than those clippers if you ask me (after my husband accidentally clipped the end of our son's finger...!). Some people just put baby socks on the baby's hands.

To tell the truth I think I'm the only one who noticed his long fingernails. It's amazing that they were so long considering he was less than 24 hours old at the time. His toenails are long too. But his hands and feet in general are HUGE. Is your son's finger OK?

Oh yeah, it was just a cut -- but that was freaky enough for new parents.

He was scratching himself in the face with those fingernails, though. Which is very common. I guess once they dry out in the air they become deadlier weapons than they are in utero!

The kid's still terrible with those fingernails. We have to really nag him to trim them...

Jack, my Boston Terrier, is going to be fine! :happyjump: :happyjump: The Vet just called and said he had clear margins and no sign of the cancer spreading. Prognosis excellent. We have to watch him for future bumps and address them immediately if they pop up, but I am very very happy. :D

I'm glad to hear it! :thumbsup: That's such a relief. It's always better to get it taken care of and find out it's nothing, than to let it go and find out it's something when it's too late.
