I wish I didn't have to know statistics for psychology. I wonder if there is any chance my brain can handle math better now than it did 20 years ago.

I think Eric and I are finally off to see Avatar this afternoon.

It's only for a couple of quarters. Been there myself. You need to know the absolute crap they base psych studies on before you get into the field.

The best tools you will ever have are experience and you, yourself.
The quantifying of the human psyche is barbaric... for the most part the actual practice of psychology is trial and error until you get it down.
Be cool with all this... there is an end to the bullshit.
You will survive to incinerate your statistics textbook.

Dark blood red here when I am not working. I love making men drool.
However...
It doesn't pay to work on a psych unit with hypersexual males (and a few females) chasing you down the hallways. Had to go back to being Miss Plain Jane. No red nail or low cut shirts... sigh.

It took all the fun out of life.

The theater was pretty much full, believe it or not. I really enjoyed it! It was very visually stimulating throughout. There was a nice love story, which always makes me happy. :) There were meaningful messages. Cool 3-D scenes too. I thought it was great.

I love the psych stuff, but I want to dig into the cool stuff, like existential, psychoanalysis and evolutionary classes. Math. Yuck. I'll do my best.

The Captain is alive.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

The Captain Patrick Steward is only 69. Captain William Shatner is the one who is 79. And yes he is wonderful. I have been watching an HBO talk show in which Shatner is the host. It is called "William Shatner's Raw Nerve." He interviews different stars asking them about personal aspects of their lives. Typically,

Shatner: "And how did you FEEL when your father said that to you [alternatively, died, abandoned the family, discovered your cocaine addiction]?"

Guest's Answer

Shatner: "WOW! Just wow . . ."

And he has very watery eyes, so he does seem very emotionally involved with the guests.
I'm donating my body to science fiction.
