trek_shipper wrote:Hi there everyoneJust signed up today, though I found the site a few days ago. I only discovered Enterprise recently--well, actually, I really only "discovered" Star Trek recently. I grew up around it, but was never all that interested. The new movie last year caught my attention and I've been hooked ever since! By December I'd watched every episode of everything from TNG-Voyager. I initially didn't plan to watch Enterprise, because I'd heard a lot of bad things about it, but I finally decided I needed to give it a try and judge it for myself. It still isn't my favourite of the series, but Trip and T'Pol definitely stole my shipping heart. lol.
I love to write but haven't done any TnT fic yet. Most of my fanfic is Voyager-based. It's all very shippy though, and I definitely sense some TnT shipfic coming soon. I've got a few ideas rattling around my head, I just have to find the time to sit down and work on it! lol. Between working and taking care of my 1 year old daughter, free time is more a fond memory than something I actually have! lol.
Anyway, I'm happy to be here and have been loving the fics I've read so far.I'm so glad to have found a Trip and T'Pol shipping community!
Welcome to our unique little corner of the world!

Re: New members, introduce yourselves here!
Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to poking my nose around a bit more and hopefully getting some stories written!
WarpGirl-As far as Voyager goes, I'm a diehard P/T girl for sure.
crystalswolf-well, in truth, I was able to whip through them fairly quickly at the beginning since I started watching them when she was only a couple of weeks old. She only turned one this past weekend, so for the first few months of watching it she slept most of the time, haha. It's pretty funny though because she already LOVES Trek...any of the theme songs will stop her in her tracks. She even had a ST birthday cake...though it's entirely possible that was more for me and the husband haha.

Ha, ha! An excellent use of your maternity leave! I also approve of the Star Trek birthday cake. I raised my children as Trekkies and today as independent, free thinking adults, they still have a soft spot in their heart for Trek.
I'm donating my body to science fiction.

Re: New members, introduce yourselves here!
When Voyager warped out of view at the end of the theme, my daughter (age 2) would wave and say "bye, bye". By 3rd grade she resisted all forms of Star Trek (movies, tapes, etc.). When the movie came out last year, she (15) wanted to go see it, twice.
Can you guess what I told her standing at the ticket counter the first time we went? "Resistance is futile"
The second time we went, we had the typical Kirk/Spock argument.

Spock, of course! lol. I do wonder if mine will start resisting Trek...it wouldn't shock me, she's an awful lot like me already and I definitely resisted Trek for my entire life, until last year. haha. It was always on in my house because my sister was a huge Trekkie, but I fought it for *years*. Although I did actually have a halfway coherent reason for it-I'd tried sci-fi stuff before and the technobabble always confused the heck out of me. I'm probably the least-geeky geek on earth, lol...math and science are not my strong points, to say the least.

Okay, I just noticed this little smiley. Or, uh, eyebrow cocking guy. That's great!
justTripn-haha, I thought it was a good use of it, too! And fortunately, living in Canada, I had a whole year to fill with Trek...bwahahaha.

Yippee I am no longer alone! I thought I was the only P/T girl here. Actually I don't write them because I have no complaints! They are the absolute best for me. My sis lives in PEI a Canadian by marriage well almost. Welcome nice to have some back up.
