Honeybee, not sure but that may be the wrong thing.

Asso is a very sensitivve man. He revers T-Pol and Trip. That kind of Smut would offend him a great deal. He asks why would anyone want to read it.

I agree. I would not go near that type of writing. Smut is one thing but trashing characters I know and adore is another thing.

I would come away feeling filthy like I had just waded thorugh a mile of slime.

That may be a harsh judgement but one Ihold closely.

Smut I can live with if it is they type that doesn't degrade the characters or make them undignified.

Well, there is a very simple solution for both of you. Don't click through. Don't read. I don't think Alelou meant to offend anyone and I for one don't mind being made aware of boundary pushing fics (such as BnB's Payment and others) that don't necessarily belong in the TriS archives. If I'm offended by the idea, I cease reading and move on.

Alelou, NO one is questioning YOUR morals. Asso said that this type of writing would be offensive to him. He never said anything aobut others reading it. I agreed with him that I toowould find it offensive. But I also didnt condemn anyone who chose to read it. I know you did not ask anyone to read it.

Asso and myself was just stating an opinion of this type of writing and that we would not read it.

Well, let me be clear - the tone of both of your posts had an implied shame of Alelou that I picked up and tried to diffuse with humor.

You may not have meant it, but you're "sensitive feelings" came off as prissy, prudish and judgmental - and that you were patently declaring yourself superior to anyone whose tastes differ from yours. It may or may not come as a shock, but some people may well find things in your writing to be offensive.

Now, I'm not trying to be judgmental - but the last thing I want to see is a slew of sophomoric declarations about refusing to read ANY fic based on the premise. It's irritating. I haven't even clicked through Alelou's link. It's the principle of the thing.

When I made landfall on this site, I certainly wasn't a virginal soul, and I was aware of the atrocious fics which there were elsewhere. But here I was able to find what I was searching for.
I don't judge anyone, Alelou. I wouldn't dare.
Actually, nobody asked anyone to go read it, and even less you. You restricted your self to report that link. For people who could enjoy that fic.
Nothing bad. People can do whatever they want to do, obviously.
And you have any right to make people aware that this kind of fics exist obviously.

And... Honeybee... usually I don't hide myself behind my finger. I have the right to say what I think exactly like Alelou and you, and I have the same right that Alelou and you have to not be JUDGED.
Anyway, it is evident that you and I don't share the same ideas.
I learned that when this sort of things happens here, there's no way. I love too much this site, and I don't want to be controversial.
