I'm back!Actually I have been back since yesterday, but then I was so terribly jet-lagged that I crashed and have slept for a long while. I'm still taking things slow because it was an exhausting, if fun, week in Florida.
And yes, I did get to see the launch. I wasn't as close as I had wished. Those tickets had sold out weeks ahead. And I didn't get a press accreditation. That would have meant me applying for a visa, with would have meant a lot of hassle, like going to the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm for an interview and paying $800. So I ended up at the Astronauts Hall of Fame just opposite Merrit Island. It was cool though, even if the distance didn't allow you to hear or feel that much rumble. But it was live.
Then I spent another two days visiting Kennedy Space Center. After that I didn't have time to do much else besides going to Epcot and Disney World.
Oh, I lost my cell phone and had to block it. I still haven't seen if anyone had picked it up and used it before I could shut it off. And the transportation "service" to and from the airport screwed me over by not showing up when they were supposed to. But other than that I had no real problems. There were no volcanic ash in the way either.
