Finished my presentation for the London conference! Whew. It was all in my head - just needed to be written down. But it was hanging over me - and feels good to be ready for next Saturday!

Congratulations! It's always anxiety-provoking when it isn't down in writing yet.
I finished my grades! Now I just have to argue with the inevitable student who feels I should bend the Syllabus for his benefit, and get all the copies made...

Congratulations! Sending those grades off is such a good feeling - I only had 3 last minute please this year - and that was a low number. I hope you get only a few!
And here's to a restful summer!

Some of these people haven't taken their medication. Let's see what happens now...

She'll be majoring in Music Media at the local university, where my 23 year old is already a sophomore in Secondary Education. She'll be moving out to live with her brother in a few weeks after we get back from New Zealand. Then I'll only have one left at home, my 11 year old.

Heh. If they don't kill each other instead. It'll be an exercise in tolerance for both of them.
Yeah. We've been planning this trip for a while, now. We leave June 1st. It'll be early winter there so we're packing the long johns. It's a family trip but also a graduation gift for my daughter. She wants to hunt red stag.

Re: The Happy News thread
That's awesome news, Distracted. I'm very happy for both of you. There's something very fulfilling about sending them out there in the world, knowing you've done your job well. Congrats.
My son graduates on June 26. Time to start stocking up on the kleenex. He works with H and I at the store and starts college in the fall.
