Thanks to the servicemen and women on Memorial Day and everyday: the real Trip Tuckers and Malcolm Reeds and Hoshi Satos!
Who do we have? Transwarp, Silverbullet, Rigil, T'Sara? Who am I missing?
Thanks for defending Sector 0-0-1.
And since this is Memorial Day, go ahead and tell us about any older relatives who served.
Thanks to the servicemen and women on Memorial Day!

Well, my late Grandfather Warren served in the Pacific during WWII - he was a Lt. Commander in the Navy and a Harbor Master on Lady Island in the Philippines.
He had training in codes and code breaking (even meeting some of the famous Navajo code-talkers).
He left for training before my mother was born and had a few days leave to come see her after she was born. But my Mom didn't see him again until she was four.
She doesn't remember, but apparently my Grandfather came home and the family pointed at him and said "Daddy" - and my Mom got confused and took a picture of my Grandfather off the shelf and pointed at it and said "Daddy." She thought her Daddy was a picture. Luckily, she adjusted quickly!

I went looking for a pic from Terra Prime to honor the servicemen and women and found this. It seems appropriate somehow since our military deals with both war and peacekeeping:

That's my dad on the right with a friend of his who was a Flying Tiger in WWII.
Let's all pause for a moment today and remember our fallen servicemen and women.

My Uncle was killed in Italy by a Gernade in 1944, another Uncle had two ships toperdoed from under him he was on the Nevada in Pearl Hrbor on Dec 7, 11941. Still anotheer uncle was in the battle of Okinawa and had a ship topedoed from under him. None would talk about their war years.
BTW, in case there is some misunderstanding. Italy had surrenedered in 1943 and entered the War on the allies side. Germany took over the country and it was a German Gernade that killed my uncle not an Italian one. the Italian soldiers were fighting along side the US and British by then.

To all my fallen comrades, and to my friends currently serving, and to my fellow veterans, I borrow from the USMC who says it best: Semper Fidelis.

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protestor to burn the flag."
- Father Dennis Edward O'Brian, USMC

Thanks from a Swede to all who defends liberty and democracy across the world. Nowadays that includes Swedish forces currently in both Afghanistan and off the Somali coast.

She's got an awfully nice bum!

Thanks from a Dutch who could live in freedom thanks to the soldiers who gave their lives to liberate her country 65 years ago. Thanks for every one who serves for freedom and democracy all over the world.

You couldn't even imagine how a son of Italy can be grateful to America.
Please, don't take this wrong, but for us, for Italians, you are the destiny we lost.
Use this heritage at the most. But I am sure you will be capable of doing that.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.
