OK in the happy news thread I basically said the treatment I got today was OK... I changed my mind! I'm an impatient wench and this fluid stuff hasn't done a thing yet. I know it takes time but the dang needle was five inches long I want results, I am so sick of being in pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is really the first day I have a day off without parents around or trips to relatives to make or something that absolutely must be done now, and therefore I couldn't sleep well because I have developed a painfully and visibly infected tonsil. Bleah!!!! Must go get a strep test, I guess.

Either sniffly grandkids are hazardous to your health, or the old body decided hey, girl, the calendar is clear -- let's lie around!!!

EDIT: I'm a freakin' idiot. The doctor said my tonsils weren't even swollen, and declined to test for strep. Apparently I don't know what my tonsils look like normally. I still have a cold and a sore throat, though, so I guess I still get to lie around and be a lazy bum. 8)

WarpGirl, I am so sorry to hear about your disappointment. It is so shocking to me to hear you young people break up these days: by changing their facebook status or sending a text message. And then I think back to how we did it, and realize that a making a phone call or sending a post card isn't any more virtuous. :(

I have a sad story about a guy who broke up with me by sending a letter addressed to both me AND my roomate, explaining that the whole time he had been dating me he had been in love with someone else but when he arrived in the Netherlands to see her, he found out she wasn't interested, just like she had said she wasn't. LOL! What a jerk. That was my What-the-Hell-Was-I-Thinking? boyfriend.

Alelou, sorry to hear you are sick. Any chance we might get a "T'Pol lying in sickbay being tended by Trip" story out of this? ;)

LOL. No, but you can have the next missing scene to beta if you want it. I'll send it over.

I think I would be pretty happy on my own as an older woman, except for the part where I can't get certain jars open... I guess there's some peace in realizing you took various forks in the road in your life, and whether they worked out for good or ill, there's not really anything much to be done about it now. You're pretty much out of the race. Might as well make up your mind to enjoy the rest of the ride.

Thanks jT. I went on vacation to NY visited the family, I'm much better now. I took a risk, it didn't work the way I wanted, but I'm glad I did it. My whine: My migranes are back and worse than they've been in a long time. Got to go back to the Dr and find out what is going on. I did not need this now! I lost all the weight I gained on vacation! :banghead:

Oh man. My hatred for counter clutter warring with my desire for a jar opener... which would win?

I'm unhappy that my husband shredded our rubber bottle opener (you know, one of those free pads with advertising on it that are not floating around much anymore like they used to) trying (and failing) to dislodge my son's trumpet mouthpiece from his trumpet. Usually that was enough for me.
