Hey, guys.

I just stumbled over this thread and thought: Present yourself.

So, a few months ago I borrowed from my brother the Enterprise DVDs, because I watched the series back in 2002 and 2003, when I was in Canada and also nearly the complete third season here in Germany and I really liked it: The character of Trip is great, no techno babble, the 'Vulcans are somewhat the enemy' theme, the Andorians vs. Vulcans topic...

But then I moved to start university and since then in 2005 my amount of watching television has lowered itself to nearly zero, which also included Star Trek. I simply lost track/Trek (I apologize for the pun!)

The DVDs from my brother gave me the chance to watch it completly and I was blown away...

Then came the "abonimation" and I was so shocked, that I started to search through the internet and since a few months I have been reading the stuff here, on fanfiction.net, HoT and the Endeavour series from Rigil.

Other these months there were several ideas flying through my head, how a 5th season could have looked like. Therefore, I began 4 weeks ago to write it down and decided to be active in this forum.

That's why I'm here, although I haven't published anything yet => still in need of a beta

I do have a question about your Avatar and name if that's OK. Are you interested in Ancient Egypt? If you are is it because of profession, hobby, or do you just really like the Goa'ould and SG-1?

Ah yes, the universal story: I discovered Enteprise and was blown away. Then came The Abomination. I needed a different ending. I discovered Trip and T'Pol fanfiction and here I am!

Just like the rest of us. Welcome, you will fit right in.

Not quite universal... You could give up in the second season, ignore ENT exists, discover Trip DIED and be sucked in because you wonder where is the justice, and find it in fanfiction. Then try again because you think I've read so many awesome fics there has got to be something I missed. Get frustrated again after the first half of season 1, and get consumed with the urge to write yourself. But hey IDIC!

Well, number one I liked the name as a synonym for something like writing/discussing in a forum (god of wisdom/writing/knowledge/moon and so on). Number two it has a nice sound to it and number three I'm generally interested in cultures/history/philosophy, since I study cultural studies on university, but not specially on Egypt.

Concerning SG-1: Well, I looked it sometimes and it has some nice things, but I'm not too much into it.

Hi All, I'm not a neewbie per se, I haven't posted anything on here for almost three years now (various personal/family problems and a doctoral thesis to finish came together and conspired against me) but I look forward to revisiting as much Enterprise and TnT as you can shake a plasma coil at. Without making too much of a mess, obviously!

Um, a few lines about myself: I'm from the UK, Liverpool to be specific, and I'm about eighteen months out of my PhD in U.S. history and have been fed a steady stream of Trek since birth (99.99% TOS as my mum is a MASSIVE Kirk fan until my dad and I discovered ENT). I'm a massive TnT and Reed/Sato 'shipper but haven't had the opportunity to get back into Trek until fairly recently. I'm also a fan of: Gilmore Girls, Prison Break, Heroes, Due South, V (original and re-imagined), Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Boomtown, etc. Feel free to PM me if you wish!
