Nowhere. I meant a vacation from the boards. Need a small break. Sometimes TnT is very stressful when you don't fit in.

I can understand what you mean about needing some room and some space at times. But not fitting in? How so? I can very much relate and have struggled with these same feelings from time to time. I remember being at a convention with JT and Elessar and sitting in awe listening to their in-depth conversations about black holes and such...wondering...why am I here? These people are smart! well of course I was there because they are friends, we had a shared interest and we enjoyed one another's company. No one was judging me or anything for being fairly clueless about black holes. My point being, of course you fit in. Hope you come back and chat with us soon.

And as for the black holes, Bether, I remember enviously looking on as you, Distracted, and Elessar et al. posted heartwrenching poems in the poetry thread over at HoT, thinking "Wow!" I am way out of my league. I wish I could be friends with them!!!" Seriously . . .

To make matters worse, I think I joined HoT at the exact same time as Rigil. So I figured his stories represented the average quality of writing on the site . . . YIKES!

I have maybe happy news. I am fostering an itty bitty kitten from the PSPCA - he was dropped off as a single, bedraggled and flea-covered and needed a place to recover that wasn't the shelter. He's about five weeks old now - and a total love bug. I can't keep him as my chihuahua can sort of tolerate kittens but hates cats.

So, this morning a lady and her son came to meet him and seem VERY interested. So, everyone send good vibes that little Speedo gets a forever home with a loving family!

I made an LOLCat starring him.

Well, after a couple of leads did not pan out - this afternoon, an older couple who is pre-approved by the PSPCA is coming by to meet and possibly take the cat!

They seem very nice AND live in a restored Germantown mansion with 8 bedrooms. They are going to confine him to a small part of the house at first, if all goes well!

Cross your fingers, everyone. Speedo needs a good home!

I got some good news today. I received this large but thin envelope from EMU in the mail, and my first thought was "This can't be good." There was a letter and a certificate inside...I made the Dean's List!!

Yeah! Yeah! Conrats on the deans list.

And the couple came around - and LOVE Speedo. They can't take him until he's two pounds and he's 1.8. I'm feeding him kitten milk and wet food and hope he will be 2 lbs by Saturday. He's practically doubled in size in a week and a half - so I am hoping. It's tricky weighing a squirming kitten on a kitchen scale.
